A drawing for an anonymous point donor!
I used SAI for this, because it has smoother lines, but I'm still getting used to it..I've been listening to Pokemon music all through making this.. XDDD

In all seriousness, quite nice. Something about the eyes reminds me a little more of Harry Potter mermaids than old-school Disney ones.

I don't know how much you may know about old-school Pony, but... back at the beginning of the cartoons, in the mid-eighties, they introduced Sea Ponies - ponies with fish-like tails and flippers instead of front legs. Their first appearance was with a song that made heavy use of the line I quoted above; further, almost all subsequent Sea Pony appearances started with a couple repetitions of it.
Yeah, kind of... watchful, wary, not necessarily friendly. Which is not so much Fluttershy, but is very like a lot of mermaid depictions. Harry Potter's just the first one that came to mind.

You've got the eye mostly right, except for it being a bit on the side of her head (which, in its own way, isn't wrong, considering horses have eyes on the side of their head .
