part of a commission which included the commissioners Dragon Quest IX self, surrounded by his team of sexy, dangerous females. It was a rather large picture, so to take the price down he looked threw a list of my OCs, and decided to add 'Lady' to get a discount on the price (everyone chooses Lady XDDD). He simply requested that I draw her as a minstrel in the dancer's dress. Since he already had a minstrel in the same dress, I changed the colors to make it more 'Lady approved'The original, with all 7 characters I won't be posting, as requested by my commissioner who wishes to remain anonymous.
full of flaws, but I rather like how it came out. I still have problems coloring semi-realistic, anime-ish stuff in, (see the face, particularly the nose to see what I mean) but I am rather happy with the results. except for how odd the hair looks...
I know that Great Fairy(yeah, doing a great fairy instead of a little fairy!) Lady won the poll, but I hit a design snag, so that will be finished later on once I figure out which design I like better D:
Just decided to post this because it's been awhile since I did a real Lady design. Made a background real quick for this one. I know what you're thinking, how did I make such snazzy roses!

can anyone guess the piece of headgear she has on? XDDDDDD Nathan says it looks like the poster to some cheesy, Disney boy-meets-cute-princess movie with a cliche tittle like thorns of the golden rose.'

it would have been nice to shift colors, but the game has so much stuff in it already, that they wouldn't be able to fit that feature in XDDD

actually, it's the thinking cap/scholor's cap design, though the spellward circlet is close! my sage(main character) always has on either the spring breeze hat or the Apollo crown, they both look nifty~

The shading came out great too and even though you don't like it that much, you'll see with time it'll get better. Looks like it's taken ages to complete this

Very interesting take on Lady as a Dragon Quest IX dancer. (And here I thought this was Final Fantasy or something of that sort. Wrong Square-Enix title!

See, I like those things in an RPG: actually getting clothing that affects your character's appearance. Maybe that's one of the reasons why I wished they made an offline variant of Final Fantasy XI... ah well.

warrior class has to much attack to be Lady *nods* I always picture her as a defensive type of fighter, so the high HP, team buffing spells, and high defense stat of how DQIX portrays the paladin class works well. I didn't really create a Lady character though...they don't allow for more than 8 characters to be created and I love my cast to much to let any of them go to make new ones.
I got way to absorbed by the fashion aspect of the game. it took me awhile to get anything done because I had to have my characters looking as spiffy as I could X_x the alchemy pot didn't help either, because I would always run(zoom?) back to it to see if I could make new stuff...

Ahh, figured as much. I thought there was also like a swordsmanship class that was crossed with a ranger in Dragon Quest III or something, but I could be wrong.

there are 12 classes in DQ IX to choose from, but only 6 available from the start, the other 6 you have to unlock. It's a good number I think, because each class has a strength and a weakness without being completely useless. and I really like how they handled weapons in this.
XDDDD we are both victims of high RPG fashion it seems. I love to dress up my team :3 ZOMG!! the cosplay costumes you get in DQIX make me squee sooooooooo much, I just about died when I saw Prince of Cannock and Kiryl.
