Commissioned PieceWell... Transformers: Prime fanart has been a LOOONG time coming...
You may remember my dry spell from July until December last year, well this series is why.
Though I've been a fan of it since it premiered in 2010, because of my story, I didn't get to catch up and really enjoy it until that piece of shit Dark of the Moon came out and killed everyone I liked, so it was easier to latch onto Prime, aside from it being the best fucking Transformers ever.
Anyway, rant aside, my awesome boyfriend, H-Falcon wanted a slot and commissioned me to do Miko. She is a favorite for both of us so I really enjoyed working on this commission.
Speaking of which, I do NOT care how much everyone else hates her. Keep that shit to yourself. She is an amazing character and far more interesting than boring Jack and MaryStu Raf (though I like them, too). I think Miko represents us as TF fans cause don't tell me you'd want to miss out on a giant alien robot smack down, either, no matter how dangerous it was.
Yes, that is a G1 Snarl. He is making a cameo appearance because my boyfriend paid(gift) for this commission by getting me my very own original G1 Snarl, and I used mine to reference him for the pic!
But I love how this came out.. and I wanted to make note (I plan to make a journal about it eventually), I know you guys have seen me experimenting a lot with Digital Art lately, but I assure you, I have NOT abandoned Traditional media. Stay tuned!

Nice work, and it was very sweet of your boyfriend to get you a vintage G1 Snarl. God, you're lucky. For the record, I like Miko as well. I like to think of her as the audience stand in, as... face it, who wouldn't want to see giant robots kicking the scrap out of each other?

Thank you, and I am very grateful both for receiving such an awesome gift and for having such a wonderful man in my life. We often exchange special gifts in this way to give the experience more meaning for the both of us. It is a shame so many people disliked Miko and were unable to make that same connection, regardless of how impractical/dangerous it was for her to do the things she did, it was fun and a great excuse for the writers to include that more personal touch of how it might be if we were apart of those dangerous scenes.

Yeah, we always need an audience surrogate for some shows, and I think Miko fills that vein. While Jack's the voice of reason, and Raf the smart guy (Not going to say anything about your dislike of them, we're all entitled to our own opinions after all), Miko's the one who probably represents the inner fanboy, or fangirl inside all of us Transformers fans I think.

I completely agree, and my apologizes; I didn't mean to give off the wrong impressions towards Jack and Raf as I do not dislike them by any means. I think at the time of writing that description I was overly zealous in my defense of Miko since far more people praised Jack and Raf while showing disdain for her, and I felt she was a far more interesting character than them.

Trust me, I've seen, and had the unfortunate problems that come with, meeting people who pretty much define the term overzealous when it comes to defending or hating on characters. You don't strike me as the kind of person, believe me. Just venture into the Harry Potter fandom some time. There's a reason the trope namers for Ron the Death Eater and Draco in Leather Pants come from there. (And if you don't know what those terms mean, look them up.)
