Glad to know they look logical. I had to design something cool for Neelix that looked believable and thought out. Took me a little while. In the end I went with sort of a plasma cutter thingy.

I am being pretty brutal on myself lately. I'm trying to find a good balance of making things look real vs. going with the flow and emotion. Sometimes super realistic looks so... stiff and it loses that special something about it. For me anyway.

Curious, I would have thought the comparison between small little Heather and big Neelix with his muscles, would show the dramatic contrast better. You confuse me! D:

But maybe just seeing Neelix at work really shows off his masculinity. Beef cakes ftw! XD

I am actually a little sad cause, I have a picture I started back months ago with Neelix working and his goggles down, but since it is a scene for a future chapter (chapter 15 actually so the next one coming up!), I held off on finishing it until later on so this picture takes the spotlight as the first one to be seen with his goggles and working. D:

Well then I am glad I kept his eyes showing! I was debating if I should have them hidden and put shiny reflections all over his goggles instead.

Lol I don't really know why either. Silly as it is and how Krogans don't act at all like Gale. I personally see Muora more like the dragon from Jackie Chan Adventures (who I just can't remember the name to at the moment), but more scaled and not...green...
I think my thought was how silly Wrex would run around when I tried to chase his little tail! XD And for one reason or another that memory attatched itself to Gale and his...suspisious actions.

Thank you. I looked over a lot of images of welding and cutting to get myself more familiar with how everything looks for this drawing. I did notice that depending on the welding technique, there was sometimes intense blue light and smoke, so I had to decide how I wanted my image to look and of course that everything is alien so different technologies. It certainly was a lot of fun to work on.

And actually, I'm glad that someone with experience in welding commented. I was aware of the aprons but not of how dangerous it could be (Scars? Ouch) so thank you for pointing that out!

Some people wear aprons, some people wear denim work coveralls with a sort of leather 'mini-jacket' that only covers the sleeves; almost everyone wears gloves, because the arc can not only produce molten-hot bits of metal, but harmful UV rays as well. Only machines or welders with decades of experience can produce a weld without little or no spatter.

You did a great job, and I absolutely love the pic, but Neelix is much more a welder than I will ever be, if he's confident enough to weld without even pulling his shirt down a little more..
