Here's a shot from last weekend. 35 weeks is this wonderfull mom-to-be! Music is her life, so I wanted that to show in the photo. She's listening to her Ipod, together with the little baby!Related content

Overall great effort!
I like the idea, your vision of this picture was great : a mother sharing her love for music with her unborn baby!
The only thing is that without your text, I would not have guessed what she's doing with the cable going to the tummy. Without that in mind, the picture is great! The whitest part of the picture is the tummy so It drags the attention where it needs to be!
For the technique, guessing that this is a studio shot, I would of tried to separate the background to the left side of the picture a little more! You can do this effectively by hanging a hot light on a tripod behind the model and UP(out of your frame) You can generally use a less strong light for the background separation here : if you use a let's say 500W for the main light, you can only use a small pepper light(150W) for the background separation.

First, I must say this is absolutely adorable. The mother's expression is so intent and sweet. It seems like she's really trying to cause the baby to be born with the same love of music she has. I can just imagine how happy she must be about her soon-to-be baby.
You used lighting very well with this shot. The shadows do well to accent the headphones across her stomach and keep the focus on her face and belly. When the image first appeared, the first thing I honed in on was the mother's kind expression.
A wonderful shot with great emotion and lighting. Great job.
