I feel hope and recovery when I look at this photograph. The candles, cross and scars just symbolizes a battle that has been overcome to me.
Your work is amazing!

I love the picture, eventhough it looks sad.
The scars remind me kinda of my arms .__.
Well love it <3

Hey everybody. Good to see all the comments.
For you,Lady-Schakal, is amazing know that you are 2 years "clean", as you said. My soul mate is a self harmer and every single day without any cut is a victory.
Everyone needs take it more seriously.
Hope soon it happens for less lost lifes.
by the way, sorry for my english...

I'm surprised nobody has commented on the fact that you're holding a rosary (I assume that is what that is). And I was wondering what the significance of that was for you in the picture, or was it just an addition to the photograph? Either way it's a lovely picture. I find it particularly inspirational from a personal point of view and I know many other people probably have a similar response but as a former cutter who became religious I love the idea. I know a lot of people would look at this and see irony between the cross and the scars but to me it makes perfect sense. Sorry for rambling, it's a terrific piece.

This picture is almost... pretty... although I know that seems a very strange word to describe it. I'll put it this way: your presentation of SI is great - exceptionally powerful.

i know what im talking about.
and if YOU cut a scar you dont do it because something inside your soul hurts.

aren't the negative situations the most important?

i do them both and it indeed is not good to release your inner pain through cutting your body but making scars and getting them done by a proffesional is just a bodymodification like piercing or tattoo so that i ok i personnaly think
but i understand that everybody has different opinion so i respect that to...
