This is how I would’ve envisioned the ending to Zelda: Ocarina Of Time.

Zelda and Link stood in Hyrule field, relief flowed through them both that the reign of Ganandorf had finally come to its end. Zelda rubbed the ocarina gently, but was filled with sadness. She knew after she played the song of time, peace would be restored to Hyrule; but everything between Link and her would be forgotten, and he would be gone from her life. Link sensed her distress and reached over to caress her face.
“Link, …I… I don’t want you to go.” Zelda’s voice cracked as she submerged herself into his deep, sapphire eyes.
“Zelda, I-I have to go, you know that.” Link comforted gently, but in fact his heart felt like it was being torn apart.
“But-“ Zelda bit her bottom lip to try to stop the tears, and turned her head so Link wouldn’t see, she had to be strong in order to be the leader of Hyrule, but this was so hard.
Link reached over and took her in his arms. His strong arms made Zelda feel so secure, and she wanted him to be with her forever. “Link, I don’t want you to leave me… I- I think I love you…” Zelda lifted her eyes to meet his, and a tear escaped down her cheek.
Link just looked at her, while taking his thumbs back and forth on her arms for comfort, not just for Zelda, but him also. He didn’t want to part from her either, she looked so frail in the moonlight, and he never wanted anything to happen to her. He wanted to be there to protect her forever.
“What are you doing?” Asked Zelda as she gave an embarrassing half-hearted laugh, and tried to turn away from him. But Link held on tight, and she felt her face grow hot. She had just revealed her feelings for him, and he didn’t answer her.
“I’m memorizing everything about you, and everything about this moment. I’ll never forget you Zelda, no matter what. Nothing in Hyrule can take away what I feel for you. I believe that through our love, we’ll find each other again. The next time we meet, it will hopefully be in a peaceful Hyrule. A Hyrule led by a very wise and strong Princess. You Zelda are that princess. Just remember me, and I’ll always protect you.”
“Until we meet again then…” Zelda said, pulling away from him and wiping her tears. Link wanted to reach out and pull her into his arms again, but he controlled himself and his emotions, even though it took everything he had. Instead, Link just nodded at her, and watched as she put the ocarina to her lips, and the sweet melody echoed from the tiny instrument.
The last words he remembered were, “I’ll always remember you, Link. Never forget me.” Her voice was even more sweeter than the ocarina.

(Yes, I know, My story crashes... oh well, this is what I was feeling when I drew the piccy, okies? ^^)
