One of the worst trips I've even taken! You'd think going to Florida would be great and stuff but it wasn't! We spent nearly 22 hours driving down with constant stops because the people kept having to go to the bathroom every two hours, they needed to gas up when the tank was only half empty, and they kept on wanting to eat. When we got there things were worse. Diane (one of the people that went with us) kept trying to take over, kept on whining about not wanting to eat fast food, and giving my mother a hard time because she didn't want to eat in places that sold alchohal. Plus my glasses got broken and needed to be fixed, I got a migrane and was given a hard time about it. Some lady took my cellphone and gave it to another guy cause she thought I had lost it even though it was with my stuff and I was sitting there. (They have to send it to my house).So on the day we left we went to Daytona and I was really looking forward to it. Well that got ruined too. They wouldn't stop arguing and it totally ruined it for me. I was really close to telling them all to just shut up but didn't since everyone of them was over 20 years older than me.
Well that's how my trip went. Next time I go hopefully we'll fly down and NEVER end up spending an entire week with Diane the annoying one.
Ugh! If Florida is supposed to be a great place to take a vacation it disappointed me because I couldn't see anything anyway.(because they didn't want to GO anywhere!) I hope my next trip down will be with my youth group. Otherwise I'm not EVER going to that state again.

sorry your trip sucked. not to sound sexist or anything but that is typical when you take several old women and place them in a confined space for several days. don't know why but everytime I here of several old women on a road trip, thats what happens. when guys do it, someone just gets hurt. usually right after someone says my favorite line, "Hey guys, watch this!"
hey maybe in a few years you can make the trip to florida just you and your friends, and leave the old folks at home. Better chances of having fun then.
oh, and about your cell phone, did she turn it into lost and found or what? if she turned it into lost and found, while she maybe STUPID, atleast she was trying to do the right thing (ok, I am just trying to find a bright side to make it not seem so bad. I know 'epic fail' )
oh, and sorry for suggesting that you go. if I had known the people you were going with, and what all was going to happen to you, I would have suggested you stay here with us on DA.

sorry your trip pretty much sucked, blame the people who accompanied you, they apparently have no idea on how to have a good time without acting like a bunch whiners. And I know this for a fact, cause my grandma, on my dad's side, complained the entire time when she stayed with us for two months.

She was constantly complaining about her condo when it got destroyed in a hurricane, all the while, I'm getting pissed off because I've had to endure a hard day at school and I have to come home to find my grandma complaining and talking nonstop. I swear she must be the one who gave meaning to the phrase "Chatty Cathy". Her name is Cathy and she never shuts up!! sometimes I'll wind up getting an hour long phone call from her!!!

I know how you feel. Once, me, my mom, my aunt, my sister and my two younger cousins went on a road trip to New Jersey for our vacation and there were no boys. From the start I knew I was going to hate it, and I was right. I was cramped in the back with the stuff that wasn't on the roof of the car (my aunt's car is that small), the place we stop to eat was gross, and when we finally got to New Jersey it was worse. We stayed at a two star motel, my mom and aunt slept on the couch because the beds couldn't hold us all, the beds and pillows were hard as rock, and when we were going home, the stuff that was on the roof fell off and my mom and aunt had to go o the street to get them (some of it was run over though). But I think the worst part of all was everyones whining and complaining, mostly my mom (she acts like a child). Only one, just ONE, of it was fun and that was the boardwalk, I loved it. I learned two things from that trip. One, my mom is selfish at vacations and two, I'm never, EVER, going on an all girls vacation AGAIN!!! It was almost worse then Disney in Florida, but thats another story because it was almost the same thing!!! Mom complaining about everything, an all girls vacation, and the last place I wanted to go! Now mom trying to make me go on a cruse in Europe with her and grandma, I'm going to scream if I do again!!!!

don't do it. say no. I was completely lonely on the trip. I was like the only young person on the trip. Old women need bladder medication and you know how retarded it is to hear an older woman say she has to go "potty" and take a "peepee?" ARGH! Why couldn't she say she had to "use the rest room?" was she retarded? No she wasn't'. Just annoying. (the person was Diane) My mother was funner than Diane. She actually wanted to DO fun things. She's the only reason we went to Daytona.

It rain almost the whole vacation too. And don't worry, I'm trying to convince my mom that it's a bad idea. Why, I hate cruises, my grandma will keep you up with her snoring (she actually can), mom's complaining about everything (you knew that already) and of course it's an all girls vacation. I rather go on a vacation by myself then going with only girls, don't even mention what happened when I was left alone with boys, I would hate if I'm alone with them again.

Dang, and I thought the getting there part was always the worst part of vaction. Well you know who not to travel with. Anyway sorry, that your trip sucked.
As for me, I'm leaving on vaction tomorrow and part of me is not looking foward to it, because getting there is never fun and I have to worry about wether or not my mom and sister will ruin it with thier argueing. Having them in the same room is never a good thing.

I feel pretty bad for you having to be stuck with your mother and two older women who did nothing but squabble and didn't want to see anything at all.
That would suck like HELL! *Don't pardon the swear word, I'm sure you will agree with me on it being a living HELL.*
Hopefully your youth group will go to Daytona next time.
