There are people who actually whine about people thanking for faving things. Sheesh people. A lot of people DON'T thank people for faves and then the people who faved whine that the people think they're too good to thank them for it.Sheesh. Some of us were brought up to say thank you when people do something for them. Don't hate on manners.

You know I can relate to this a lot. Last week I thanked someone for watching me and hey reported me for spam. I asked if that was a joke and they flagged that comment as spam too.

The problem is, that some artist are getting 4 or 5 "thx for fave" comments a day. And its annoying to get them on the front page.
I don´t get them that often, BUT STILL. Even if I have put a bunch of stamps over my comment box. It shows that those people don´t even READ, what an artist wants or not. Thanks for faving isn´t only spam, its like a plug on your side. Do you want that your artspace is plugged all the time? No. You really have to understand the artists. I don´t want to be offensive or fight with you about it. I just want to explain WHY people don´t like it.

You´re right, its not completly spam, because the deviant who thanks you for it, mostly doesn´t want to be rude - in the opposite. The main reason, why its so annoying, is because of the amount of those comments

Yeah I know what you mean. I actually came across someone the other day who faved one of my stamps, and I went to their page to thank them, but I saw all sorts of hidden comments and "DON'T THANK ME!" messages.
I honestly wonder what the heck that person's problem was. I mean, "thank you" is an expression of gratitude and politeness, as you just said.
I will admit I sometimes get lazy and I don't thank people for faves, but I also mostly assume that people know I do appreciate it, especially the people I know.
Anyway, yeah. XD

this one person I went to thank had this huge "THANKING ME FOR FAVES IS SPAM DON'T DO IT!" message in her ID. I was thinking. "what the heck is her problem?"
