Ryuu did, haha! He drew this for me back for Halloween. (Thank youuu~) Cecil and Dezel are both major loves of mine... combining them like this make me a happy lady!
I tried my best to make this look as close to the Tales of skit style as I could, using Dezel's as my reference. I haven't even opened SAI in over a month, and I felt like I forgot a ton of things. Taking a step back like this was really refreshing and greatly needed.

Oh yeah! ;D The mer forms are just a fun AU I like to mess with and have way too much fun with. The human forms aren't going anywhere and they're "canon" as far as my own stories go... I just need to work on them a liiiittle more than I do! <3

Don't be so hard on yourself! 
I still need to improve on shading and creases in clothing. At the moment I'm only focusing on the actual person behind the clothes. And I still have a small choice of clothes for my pictures.
So don't beat yourself up! I like the shading of clothes in your picture, and idk what you see wrong with it (and frankly, I'm a bit further behind in shading/clothes...).

Clothing is something I really need to work on myself. Like you I tend to put more thought into the character I'm shading. I used a reference to help with this image, it was really useful and gave me a better understanding of folds... I tend to over shade things at times. Gotta try and knock that habit on the head haha.

Hey don’t worry, I had a problem with self-esteem too. Not that I’ve changed much, but I like to think of myself as ‘very humble’
On that note I read somewhere that it’s not a good idea to knock down your work. It’s one thing to say “I could’ve done better” but if you don’t have respect for your drawing skills then others are less likely to. Besides, some people out there are only too happy to knock us down for free.
I’m a bit of the opposite, I don’t shade enough and they’re sometimes not dark enough. When I print my pictures I can hardly notice that they’re shaded. And I usually use clothes that have no crinkles so it’s easier to shade.
Thanks for checking my Improvement Meme ^_^ Most of my studies this year were on the human body, but the environments were easier for me to grasp. I can’t wait to see myself in another year!

Thank you though, I've missed you a ton while I've been absent! I'm not completely back yet, but... at least I'm doing something productive haha! I'd like to do a few more "warm up" pieces to get some lost confidence back, then hopefully I can finally get back to those collabs!
