This is the second time I've coloured her work. Her lines are great to work with!
Just like Ryo's picture before, this was something my darling commissioned her to draw for him. It's his original character, Crosshair. She's been revamped since she last appeared in my gallery, and I certainly think for the better! I hope I haven't disappointed either of you with this one!
I tried a slightly different lighting method this time. Her suit is quite shiny when light hits it I imagine, I wanted to try and express that better. (No, it's surprisingly not dodge tooled.
)I'm also quite happy about the fact that even though Zelda and fan art were in the same poll, there were still a fair amount of people who voted for "More OC work". So, this is in favour of you guys as well. ^^

I don't know anything about Gaia myself, but I was given a doll to use for colour reference. My boyfriend has told me the outfit here was based on something from it.

No prob ^^ I can imagine it was a bit tricky experimenting with it, but to my eyes you did a pretty awesome job with it. Granted, I'm more of a writer than artist XD I think once you try it out a bit and get the hang of it, you'll be able to make even more epic lighting stuff in this different style

Thank you! I enjoyed testing out a couple of new things with this one. I think the fact that Furan's drawing was excellent to begin with might have something to do with the end result, though.

I must admit, most of the background is mainly heavy brush manipulation. I'm trying to practise using those at least, so the backgrounds I do aren't always completely bland. Baby steps, you know?

Oh WOW!! You caught me by surprise with the green skin, it is definitely a good tone too (you know, not too light not too dark). The shininess came out right and it flows with the BG so it gives the character depth all around the hi-tech stuff (you gotta love those bee-hive brushes XD). Nice use of color combination here too.

The tech brushes definitely saved my butt with this one. I'm hopeless when it comes to backgrounds, so I need all the help I can get. xD; The honeycomb ones are much love, for sure. <3

Not THIS is how Crosshair is meant to be!! This is just...! I can't even describe it! It's perfect!!! *pounces on you* I love so very very very very very much!! This is like you materializing my character right before my eyes!

Her eyes! I adore her eyes! I like how you played with the eye the scar is over. ^^ IT gives a very glowing mechanical feel, justly so since the eye is robotic. ^^ Her other eye is beautifully shiny, too~ I just love how you do eyes!
Her skin looks soft and well taken care of. ^^ She's green, but she looks healthy, still. One could almost touch her!
You were right about her lip. x3 You gave it depth and a fullness to it.
Her outfit is astounding! I notice you took into consideration certain parts of her, like her bust and the thighs are tight on the outfit, so it's a bit shinier there, and a bit duller at the folds where it's obviously not tight at all. That's is VERY realistic, m'dear! I'm amazed and pleased by how you've taken physics into account with this!
And the metal parts aren't quite as shiny as the rest of her outfit, but not all metal has that shininess and I think that fits here! And those jewels look like they've been polished recently~ =33
The background is amazing beyond what I can say! I love the technology energies flying around, the honeycomb-shaped bits in the air when she touches buttons, the spacey air just completes the look, like she's in her own little world of technology, circuit board backgrounds and the computerized tiled flooring just... just make it all work! x3 I'm so lame at describing stuff when I'm all excited.

I based her eye on how I had it in the flat colours, just with more... oomph to it. But thank you! I love my eye method too.
That's good. I'm definitely not as used to shading green skin as I am to skin like Zelda's.
I added more to it since then. Mainly the bright shine it has now. ^^
Oh, really? I was just playing with it, really. What I didn't want to do was overdo the lighting and then make it painful on the eyes, so it's very selective here. The metal however, is partially my fault. It's hard to put shine on metal that's already bright/white to begin with. There is some there, but it's not really recognizable. >:
