Just looked at the forecast for the next 7 days... and there are 4 icons with a saguaro cactus in front of the sun ...but, the next 3 days aren't any cooler ...so not sure about their thinking there...
anyways here's the run-down:

We're good, had a hectic week redecorating (i.e. fixing broken shit, moving furniture around, etc) and today is my "free" day, when I leave my folks to play with Ileana for a couple of hours and I'm having a blast browsing

Any free time for a mom is special!! I remember one Christmas Day... when we went over to Bob's folk's house... and flopped out on the bed upstairs, and slept for like 4 hours, while someone else watched Lindsay It was heaven!

of course... those same "idiots" came and picked up Lindsay one Christmas Eve afternoon ('cos we were super busy at the store - when we had our retail store - and they thought she just wasn't being paid enough attention to... even though she was happily playing with her toys in the office area at the back of the store! )....
...anyways, when the store closed at 6 p.m., and we went over there to eat dinner... we found that Lindsay had consumed absolutely nothing all afternoon... but junk ...i.e. Chocolate bonbons, Million Dollar fudge, divinity, chocolate covered cherries, pecan brittle, cookies of every variety imaginable, and so on... No protein or veggies whatsoever ...so of course, she wasn't the least bit hungry, either
That night after she had been put to bed... and we had already put out the things from ...Lindsay woke up It took great acting ability on our parts to keep her from noticing that Santa had already been there At that point in time, we were both ready to kill the 6 adults (Bob's two sisters & their husbands were there, too) that had been "in charge" of Lindsay all afternoon Believe me ...they never got a chance for a repeat performance of that debacle!
And worse yet... the next morning Lindsay sweetly and lovingly told us that... "Santa brings better gifts than you guys" ...so poor got kicked to the curb, too!

Oh, my, that's as funny as it is sad Yeah, my folks can't get her to eat either, so whenever Kiki takes me shopping (once a month) I just have to deal with the fact that she won't eat anything till I get back

well, getting Lindsay to eat wasn't the problem ...but, like any kid ...if ALL you put in front of them is tons of candy... then that's what they're going to eat
I eventually had a "list of rules" for the grandparents that bordered on the excessive and I would occasionally (and tell them that if they were not going to make her mind... and weren't going to see that she ate properly... then she couldn't come over) ...but, geesh! when you feed any child sweets all day long... they're eventually going to I would, too... if that's all I ate
But poor lost the most ...his gifts were never so lavish after that!

wait a minute ...how is stranded on the seaside so horrible? I mean... unless it's ...the beach is never a horrible place to be stranded ...you can just walk farther down the beach... and get away from her

Ileana was stuck to me, she wouldn't take a step unless I held her hand I blame MIL of course who wouldn't stop nagging and trying to make Ileana connect to her, i.e. buying her love with tons of toys. Followed closely by questioning my parenting methods of course.
If I were stranded with you, I know I would have had TONS of fun, cause you're normal and loving, and awesome grandma material
