Well a lot of folks think the seagulls are pests... but, they vary so much... that I never get tired of looking at them And they are incredibly smart, too... if you want to read something interesting... check out my artist's comments on this deviation [link]

Doves are the pest, but not seagulls. I am happy I live close to the coast line and I can see seagulls very often. They are nice to watch. Specially the "baby" ones when they run around, before they learn to fly. It's funny to watch. They are real cute.

I've never seen a baby one. Unfortunately, we live in Kansas (not near any water)... and here at Mexico Beach (where we are, until tomorrow )... the seagulls roost on islands off the coast. I'm sure they find that the island roosting keeps down the number of predators that they have to deal with, while sleeping or when they are raising their young.

Mexico Beach sounds nice. Do you spend your vacation there? Mexico must be a nice place to visit. Maybe someday I have time to go there too.

it's relaxing... and we spend any moments there that we can garner between our business obligations, when we are traveling on business. We usually manage to get there at least once a year (in October)... but this year is a bonus, with us having been there in May, too!

It's not in the country of Mexico... but, rather in the state of Florida ...here's a link to one of the motels in Mexico Beach [link] their pictures will give you a sense of the place. We like it because it is what the Panama City Beach, Florida, area was like about 20 years ago... before it became so popular. If you will click on the "home page" link on their site, it will change the background picture

I am very sorry to reply so late, but I didn't fine enough time to write.

Looks like a nice location to spend time. I was in Florida 1999 last and it was a nice time. But not for beach holiday, but for siteseeing. I went there with a friend during a journey thru London - New York - Florida - Bahamas. It was a real cool time traveling thru Florida by mobile home. Lots things to see, but too little time off course.
