I'm really rather happy with how this turned out....

If you feel strongly enough to comment, please fav. It's just strange, otherwise.

Nice tweak on the Quellist Flamepack Lindsay! This comment and my notwithstanding, I respectfully disagree with your position concerning faving in general however. I'm sure that I'm not alone in the belief that faving should be reserved for stuff that a person really likes - not just what they're prepared to comment on. Having been on both the giving and receiving ends of constructive criticism to and from some of my most chersihed ers (e.g., [link] ), I find nothing odd at all about receiving comments without a fave. Au contraire, I very much feel that it's helped me grow as an artist...

Hmm. I agree in principal that there are times when a comment doesn't mean you should have faved, but "I LOVE IT!!!!" as the comment makes little sense without a fav. The situation I was puzzled by wasn't regarding comments offering critique. I understand commenting without faving if you're giving me ideas on how to make it better.

And I'm very glad you like it. Thanks for both the comment and the fav.

Point well taken! That does seem a little strange BTW: I was thinking to feature this one in my next journal update if that's OK with you...

Love the elegance of this - the clarity of the flame and the simplicity of the gradient - very nice effect!

Thank you.
(tho, I should note that I -had- to go simple with the gradient. This flame resisted all attempts to make it multi color. But then, it's only got two transforms.)

Run into that before as well. Sometimes the piece needs to lead you to what it wants to be I guess. Regardless for why it turned out great!

First comment

Yay

And how could I NOT fave this!!??!! It's awesome! No wonder you are happy with how it turned out - it's fantastic I'm loving that swirly in the bottom and those curves criss-crossing like that are so elegant-like.

awesomeness

Thanks.
The only reason I put that comment about faving in there is because I've actually had a few of those recently.....
My thought is: "You had enough time to comment, and cared enough to -say- you liked it, but you didn't fav it?? Huh?" But how do you send somebody a note asking them what's the matter with their heads, in that case? How do you make it not sound ungrateful? Hence, my comment.

I am really glad you like this one. Sorry for the rant.
