Regardless of how anyone else may see it, I absolute ADORED J.J. Abrams reboot of Star Trek. The movie had a great plot, the effects were breathtaking and (being in the design and marketing world myself) I thought the pre-release marketing was excellent
Had to take a stab at digitally painting Kirk, Spock and Uhura from the official promo poster (seen here: [link] )
Colorization, digital overpainting with wet media brushes, and special effects all done in Adobe Photoshop CS4. (just me and my mouse - sadly, no Wacoms here!)

Good job! I loved the movie as well but I just didn't like the fact that Uhura was on the posters with Kirk and Spock but McCoy wasn't. Just ridiculous.
