Amazing...It was HER lack of love that caused the king to be childless...Could it be possible that HIS lack of love for his foreign, strange and POLITICAL bride led to her childlessness? And where is the information on how many children might have been born to him on the wrong side of the blanket? This sounds to me like the oft told tales of a king marrying for political reasons and when the time was right, riding himself of the unwanted thru one reason or another. Witchcraft or being barren usually served that purpose.

You've "captured" Queen Beruthiel very well. She looks quite fetching and haughty and just how I imagined a "Dark Numenorean" to look like.

Oh, you've done Queen Beruthiel justice in a big way with this beautiful rendering -- you've given her beauty, dignity and a mien of sadness combined with a dark haughtiness. I've always wondered what *her* side of the story was.

Thank you for picking my stock to use and for letting me know that you had. Also thank you for the link to your wonderful deviation in which my work was used. I am a huge Tolkien fan myself.

I was wondering for a long time who queen Beruthiel is, since I read Aragorn's comment, but I could not find anything else about her. Very interesting... I might just pick up unfinished tales again!
