Description On a dim afternoon, a girl, about 17, was hiking ambitiously through a dusty slide path that was openly surrounded by rusty sideway graves. Everyday she would walk through the cold graveyard on the small dirt path with huge stones as steps, honoured by cement closed crypts. She did this to get to the only place where she felt free – the coven. The girl didn't know the exact history of what this coven had been through, but it was obvious that it had been run by monks because of all the melted candles that were laid sporadically in big clusters around the cave, some had their own little hole to burn bright in. There were also, statues of monks praying about half her size, three faced her, two at her sides and one in front.

When she arrived at her stone cavern she immediately dropped her bag at her side, undid her blue bulky coat that wasn't meant for this type of weather but, she wore it anyway. Took her mp3 player out from her pocket and pressed play. The music echoed through the cave as she begun to dance. Gracefully as she moved, the statues were praying, praying for her to dance for the god they were in contact with. She moved her body in tone with the music. She felt like she was being watched, but she loved it and kept moving. She couldn't stop, and she certainly didn't want it to end, she felt free like a butterfly finally becoming loose from a child's cupped hands. The music stopped as she was hunched over held with of her weight on her tippy-toes. The hour of freedom was over; she had to go back to her dreaded house with her neglecting parents, ignorant with life in itself, not believing that she was capable of anything. She hoped she proved them wrong, but reality hit her, they weren't here, and neither was anyone else. She stood up on her feet in disappointment, with a strong look. She felt powerful, like she could conquer anything.
"Oh get over yourself, you're a nobody," she told herself.
She fell to her knees holding fists to her head and screamed loud enough to go through the cavern and make it seem like it came from another woman.

She walked back with her hood up and her hands in her pockets feeling miserable, while looking down and scuffing her feet against the gravel, while humming the tune she just danced to. Until she stopped, looked up and saw an open crypt. She froze in her tracks and examined the stale grey blue stone, it was the norm to see crypts, but very rare to come across an open one. She came here everyday and never seen people walk on this path.
So who could have opened it? She thought.
She was too afraid to turn back, because something might attack her from behind, but also too scared to go near it, as another creature might pop out of it and eat her alive. She looked for another path to go through, but was surrounded by crypt houses. This thought freaked her out, until she got distracted when she saw that the open crypt in front of her had a beautiful jewel on top. It gleamed with a smooth blood red stone, cradled by a threatening bat mounted just above the doorway into the dark dead stone house. She looked at the jewel in awe not taking her eyes off it, as she slowly moved her right foot ever so slightly to get a closer look at it. Then, everything went black. She couldn't see anything and she couldn't move either. Her body was flat on the ground with her eyes shut and her hands at her side.

After, what she thought had been a coma she woke up and stood up fast making her feel dizzy from getting up. Once she focused, her eyes widen with shock and started heavily breathing, realizing where she was. She noticed that the crypt was closer than it was before and that the jewel was now missing. She ignored her frightening thoughts that someone or something made her go unconscious. She picked up her bag that wasn't far from her and put it over her shoulders. She didn't remember dropping it, but she told herself,
I probably just fainted, holding her head like it would help her to believe that fainting in the middle of a graveyard was normal after looking at the missing jewel. The girl felt tired and hungry after experiencing supernatural and abnormal events. She looked forward the path not looking at the crypt house on her right and began to walk trying not to think about what just happened.

After she ate a full dinner, the girl still felt hungry, but she didn't want to eat anymore because of the effects it would have later on her body, as she didn't have a fast metabolism and she wanted to stay fit for tomorrow's performance in the cave.

When the girl was lying in bed awake, she felt something consume her, like a demon inside of her, she was thirsty, but for what?
Blood, she thought. Anything she could get her hands on, she would devour and tear apart like an animal. Anything to get that sweet taste in her mouth to satisfy her craving. She fought with every muscle in her body to fight the urge to jump out of her window and slaughter and any human in her sight. Until she become exhausted and couldn't fight anymore with the war inside her. Giving up, she closed her eyes and went into a gentle sleep.

The next morning she went back to her cavern of freedom to dance to the same music, with the same clothes, with all the same moves, but just in a different order. She did this for several weeks until an unforgettable day.

She extended her leg outward, held her arms just above her head as if she was hugging air, and stayed in this position with  her eyes closed, day-dreaming after what felt like awhile, until she felt a human - no, some sort of creature, hold her waist and whisper in her ear.
"You are one of us now."
She opened her eyes but kept her position, the velvet male voice somehow calmed her. The voice spoke again.
"Dance for me."
She danced and danced for the voice that commanded her, for his pale skin, cold breath and the way it embraced her interpreted dance. She ended her swaying facing him, almost out of breath, his eyes were blood red – just like the stone, she thought. The voice whispered to her again.
"Come tomorrow and dance for me, oh how you dance so beautifully."

For the next few weeks or so, that's all the girl did was dance for the creature in the cave. She wondered where it came from and why it wanted her to dance, but she didn't want to bother the creature with questions, as she wasn't sure what he was capable of. And she didn't want to offend it with putting the focus on him for awhile, so she continued to dance without question, making her feel hope and freedom like she wouldn't believe.

One evening the male creature whispered to her, as she closed her eyes and listened.
"You're an amazing dancer no matter what anyone says. The ballet school you've always looked at from across the street. Wishing how you could dance their everyday before you come here is holding auditions for scholarships. You will go, regardless what mind doubts say."
With her eyes still closed, he then wisped into her mind and showed her a vision. A sight with her dancing in professional clothing, in a room with mirrors and lights, with her brunette hair braided in a bun, twirling about. The dream then faded as the creature vanished, while she stood still and thought for awhile.

The next day, there she stood crosswise the busy street, staring at the black block building that was standing high above her, as cars rolled by between the school and the girl, she gripped tighter to the bag against her side, took a deep breath, then walked across when the streetlight turned blue.
Once she was inside the main dance room on the upper floor, she took off her coat and began to dance again. Feeling the creature inside her mind, guiding her, feeling elegant as a dancer and believing that she belonged there. As she danced with the creature, she felt the eyes of the instructor or as she saw him - the guardian of the key to freedom. She ended her audition with the same pose that the creature first approached her with, and then the male voice spoke for one last time.
"I can go, as you have fulfilled me with dance."
As the creature dissipated out of her body for the final time, the girl felt her whole self again.
