Description So over on Tumblr, I noted a shift in the paradigm of MLP art, and it was a surge in pictures with our favorite lady-ponies being confident and sassy and with sayings of Feminism. I am not sure if this is the intent, but I love how it is a contrast or a counter to the less desirable realm of pony art, which is run by the Bronies who use this show and this very female-empowering space as a place for...Well I guess let's just leave it at Cloppers, Grimdark and Molestia followers. Enough said.

I love how artists are taking it back and making these. I mean, if the raunchy side of the Adult Pony fandom made it hard for me to continue making pony art and made me essentially leave, this shift in focus brought me back. So I tried to make a Feminist pony art.

I never stopped loving ponies, just found the fandom's shenanigans to be exhausting and a little inappropriate.

BTW: Pinkie Pie willingly give others a smile.  Owing or not owing a smile doesn't cross her mind.  She's not some hateful SJW prick.  Also, you feminists are hypocrites demanding access to traditional male spaces but then try to ban men from MLP.

When the heck did I say men aren't allowed to watch MLP? I was speaking of a particular section of the fandom that acts inappropriately, I didn't say "All men"...In fact I didn't even say men alone were guilty. Only that part of the fandom was a bunch of creeps(though statistically yes, there are more men than women in that group)

And just because a person gives smiles and warmth willingly does not mean they are obligated to provide that to every stranger on the street, especially not the ones who harass that person, I.e. catcalling or men telling women to "smile" for them. Of course I speak more of OUR world instead of Pinkie's. But this was a venture in using ponies, a very feminist thing to begin with, tbh, as a context to convey a message, one that a lot of people are taking on and talking about these days, whether you like it or feel threatened by it.

My piece here isn't as strong or as clever as some of the ones I have seen around and if I did it again I'd try to say something better, but I think it still stands and yeah, I can use fictional horses to communicate ideas if I want. I mean, someone could imagine and illustrate Pinkie Pie murdering Rainbow Dash and making her into cupcakes in gruesome fashion, and artists can fill the internet up with bestiality explicit porno fantasies of cartoon horses that were designed for children, but here you are being pissed off because a feminist might be exploring her own art and ideas. I like to draw ponies and I believe in feminism. Deal with it.

The person who wrote "Cupcakes" has much right to the characters as you do to make them into your mouthpiece.  The difference is that the writer of "Cupcakes" isn't some control freak hellbent to attacking someone else's right to express their creativity.  The rights of men to enjoy MLP:FiM goes beyond being mere passive observers.  They may criticize but that is different from actively censoring them.  And speaking of inappropriate, the two-faced hypocrite that led the crusade against the Princess Molestia tumblr page was selling sexualized art of ponies.

Sorry? Again when did I EVER imply that I was a "control freak" leading some fascist dictatorial charge to crack down on other people's stuff or take away someone's free speech? I am not attacking anyone, just stating that I didn't find it tasteful, I was stating a different point of view on the subject, I was expressing MY RIGHT to say something feminist and say that maybe I didn't like all that the fandom has done.

I did not come to BRONY pages and post hate. I did not come to BRONY pages and try to tear you and yours down. I didn't go to the maker of Cupcakes and tell them ANYTHING. I AM NOT HARASSING ANYONE. I am in my OWN space, creating my OWN art, and whoever wants to view what I made can view it, and if they don't, then there's always a fucking BACK button if they're so deeply fucking offended.

There's a reason I haven't ever read Cupcakes, and there is a reason that I stopped drawing my own, HUMANIZED mature Pony pieces; I didn't want to be a part of that highly sexualized and kind of disturbing community anymore. But, you know, instead of harassing them I just fucking LEFT. I have a right to do so, and I have a right to have my reasons and to express those reasons.

I don't know what you want from me or what you hope to achieve by posting your holier-than-thou opinions on MY page, but you're probably wasting your time. Men can like MLP, and I never fucking said otherwise or that any one of us were in charge of who can or cannot like MLP. I am not trying to steal your goddamn Ice Cream.

I guess I was being too harsh with you.  I apologize for the control freak comment.

Lovelovelove this. And it also implicitly dispells the myth of feminine being anti-feminist (due to lovely pinkie pie )
I havent met many feminists on DeviantART...we seem to be rarer on here than Tumblr?
