This was a lot of work but also lots and lots of fun to work on, I haven't enjoyed working on something like this in a while!

Anyway so this is Laila (Angelina Pegasus way back in Ancient Egypt) and this is her story:

Laila was going to marry the youngest son of another family, which was slightly richer than theirs. But there was one condition, Laila had to stay with her soon to be family in law, in order to learn how she had to make clothes. This way she would more valuable and would be able to earn money for them.

After a few months she returned back to Kul Elna together with her soon to be father and mother in law. They were planning on discussing their plans for the future together with Laila's parents, but when they arrived at the village everything was gone…the villagers were brutally murdered…and so were Laila's parents…her beloved brother Akefia was nowhere to be found…
Her soon to be father and mother in law were furious, because they realised Laila was now the only one left of her family and to them she was now useless. They then sold her to a slaver, who in return sold her to a family of tailors, but not just any tailors, they were the personal tailors of the royal family. Thanks to that Laila was able to meet prince Atem more than once.

But alas, after a dispute between Laila's master and the pharaoh (Atem's father), the family of tailors was fired and banished from the palace. Because of this the family had debts (nobody wants clothes from tailors hated by the pharaoh after all) and they became poor. But even worse was that not long after that Laila's mistress and her masters only child died because of an illness. In the end Laila's master saw no other way then to sell Laila to a slaver again.

This slaver brought her to a slave market in the hope of selling her for a lot of money. Many men wanted to buy her, but not because she was a very talented tailor that is... Coincidental at that very same slave market was the young pharaoh Atem present, he was looking for new soldiers.
From the moment he saw Laila, he realised who she was and remembered what a kind girl she was. When he looked around he realised one of those perverts was going to buy her, so in order to save her from this horrible fate he bought her and made her his personal tailor.

Laila was delighted, not only because she could make clothes for the royal family again, but also because she was able to spend some time with Atem. Slowly something started to bloom between the two and one day they confessed their feelings for each other and they became lovers. Unfortunately they could never marry, after all she was a slave and he was the pharaoh…
