neonUFO is hosting another contest , this time around his new character Kawaru!
Of course there was no way I could resist, because have you looked at this sweetie?? He was so much fun to draw, and since I currently like drawing characters in the context of environments, I had some fun with the room too.
For the style I tried going for something warm, soft and comfy while still keeping it colourful.
I'm really happy with how this turned out, and it actually feels a bit different from what I usually do. Probably because I was working from another artist's character design, or because the brush that I was using had a stronger texture than usual.

I also really like how you drew his legs!! The pants look comfortably baggy and the way his feet are drawn and shaded gives them a really nice volume!
