Long time no update...I've been busy with school and getting my life sorted into order.
Two original characters for a Mutants and Masterminds game I'm currently a part of. The young lady with the baby face is my character Tryssara (Trys) Cooper and the strapping lad is my friend's character Randal MacKinzie. Trys can control darkness and Randal is a techno-gadgeteer (think McGuivere meet Dexter.) And despite her looks, Trys is 18
The only thing I can say from this exercise is...
HAAAAAAAAIR!

I like this picture quite a lot. The detail in the hair is very nice and the shading and contrast in Randal's shirt and shoes and Lys's shorts are very nice. However, I do think that there could be more highlight work done on both character's skin, it seems slightly dull and flat like they've been covered in skin toned matte paint. If you look at Randal's shoulder and how rounded it looks and then look at his exposed bicep and not how flat it seems, you'll see what I'm talking about.
I also really like how much weight Randal's hand seems to carry on Lys's back but I miss that same weight on the hand holding her legs, they seem to just be floating there.
Still I like the way they look and you really did do an excellent job with the hair detail. Keep up the good work!

I totally forgot the highlights on his bicep! And as to why Trys looks like she's floating, the picture is just when Randal has picked her up. I don't know if I can change the pose now, but I'll see if I can. Thank you for the critique!
