After Rogue's disappearing act for the past two years, she's finally returned. Though many were relieved that she's alright they still can't believe just how much she has changed, she's nearly unrecognizable to the girl they once knew. Gone was the temperamental girl that used flirtatious methods as joke to fluster those around her, taking her place was a more mature yet emotionally closed off women. When she joins the team everyone's a bit weary of her. Knowing what happened with Jason its like the team feels they need to walk on egg shells around her. Despite the rough start Rogue manages to adjust into the team as well as befriend its members.

When Aqualad met Rogue he did not judge her based on the events of her past. He instead treated her with respect and understanding having also suffered the loss of someone he cared for deeply. If anything he knows that she's not okay and admires her strength to come back despite her grief. He see's her as a member of their team, a friend and someone he hopes to get to know and understand better.
