Trapped ~I’ve been bound
tethered,
my wings clipped.
Healing slowly,
I am ready to test.
A short flight,
I only glide over
the field
wingtips touch the water,
and the sun calls.
Outstretched,
I turn upward
pulling the air over me,
pulling me though it.
The stream and field disappear,
as I realize how
strong I now am,
and how very small,
insignificant
my captor will remain.
