Long ago in the previous dynasty, Phoenix, the firebird goddess, came to earth in the shape of a human. She seduced the Emperor and became a cruel and vicious monarch. The people revolted, cities burned and the Empire fell into ruin. There's something about the layout of this one that I love. That little circular window there and the figure layered on top of it... it's so pleasing somehow. I could imagine it on a porcelain plate.
