Eri does so many nice drawings for me, I wanted to pay her back somehow... So I tried to make this one as nice as possible, but I came to a roadblock after I inked it. I just COULDN'T decide how I wanted to "color" it. So I "toned" it instead... I added some highlights too, but they just didn't look right, no matter what.We played around with a cracky idea for awhile, of basically making the boys complete opposites of themselves. In other words, Verm an evil dictatorial Tallest and Moth a loyal Irken lackey. With a few twists, of course. Moth is very protective of his Tallest. Here he is making sure the room is absolutely clear of badness, even though Verm's all "Don't worry so much."
Putting Moth in a more "traditional" Irken uniform was a lot of fun. I basically just crossed his normal 'fit with an Invader uniform, lmao.

Oh, stupid me! I forgot to say that I like the drawing! The fact that you only made it in gray makes it look kinda... like Moth really has a reason to protect his tallest! Keep that up!

Kinda strange to think of those two in the way you drew them here. I mean, yes, Moth tends to be protective as far as I know but Verm a dictatorial tallest...? Oo Not that easy to imagine. *gg* Still nice work. For the highlights... I think you would have needed to make them more visible and shade the bodies... But I suck at highlights so I might not be the best person to say anything here. *zips mouth closed*

You had to work with the mouse again? I'm fascinated what you can do with such equipment. Makes me wonder what you can achieve once you get your hands on things like tablet pcs or such stuff. Oo

My tablet work isn't all that amazing, haha! But it's a lot more natural than my mouse work. I know there are tricks to making lines smoother and such even when using a mouse, but I don't know how to use Photoshop that well.

Yes, there are tools to draw perfect lines but still: It feels way more natural with the tablet in my eyes. Ok, maybe it's just that the mouse on my computers is normally on the highest speed (which makes it impossible to actually draw without making it look wobly) but still... I don't think I would have the patience or the calm hand to do whole drawings with a mouse.
(and here I won't even try since I only have a trackpad.
