i love your work...its amazing, the shading is very good, and you put a lot of imagination into it, one thing that i have noticed though is that you have trouble with the proportions and "selling" your picture. Sorry. But in this picture the shoulders are up too high. It looks kinda funny....im sorry...i really do love your work though, the head btw is just amazing, it has a very cute twist to it....

I know I have proportion issues because I've never taken an anatomy class or studied from real models or anything like that yet. I do things off the top of my head, and only sometimes (when drawing a new pose or something) use myself as a reference, but only for a moment, then I go back to remembering how it looked in my head and doodling that.
I actually think I used another drawing as a reference for the top part of this pose. I'll have to find that later when I'm on my own comp *is at school*
I don't really try to "sell" my pictures because they're just spur of the moment doodles that I might take 10 minutes to a few days to finish. I do them for fun and in the case of these fashion designs, to show off the designs I've created, not the character modeling the design.
I wanna thank you for the criticism though. It's something I really appreciate to help me further my skills.

I think either costume or regular fashion design could involve a lot of research, etc, depending on how it was done. Yeah, it'd be kewl to wear Renaissance garb around all the time, but it's not practical. Making fashions that are a lil whimsical, beautiful, stylish, and (when possible) practical is the goal, I think. Thanks for the comment! ^^

I'm now thoroughly convinced that those corsets just work with everything. I need to make some ^__^;
Beautiful skirt, too! How do you plan on making it? Lots of parts that come to points, or just take a petal skirt and add more points to it?

The pattern for mine was an 8 point petal, but I made it a 10 point, so I could have an elastic waistband rather than a fitted waistband.
