He fell to his hands and knees as a sharp pain ran up his spine. All the world around him began to spin, aside from the Enchanter who stood before him. He shut his eyes tightly as pain shot through his arms and legs.

Memories and the face of the young girl he shared them with ran through his mind. Days in the forest, growing up together then slowly growing apart. By then, the pain had grown unbearable, He let out a scream which slowly turned into a howl. His mind went to his final memory with the girl.

He looked her strait in the eye. Eyes that glistened with the tears building up behind them. In a cold, heartless tone, he spoke the words that broke down the floodgates in her eyes…

"I care nothing for you, nor the fate of your kingdom."

The moment those words passed through his mind, he felt himself fall into unconsciousness.
