One of the few fractals from FE that I am happy with.

It is one that I quite like from FE.

So smooth. Do you make it very big AND anti-alias?
I've been trying very big ones but without anti-aliasing.
I'm always too impatient.

Apo sometimes makes me mad, it's so long. I follow what I was taught but everything seems long although I work in 5 setting. You have to keep getting back to 100 to see what it really looks like.

So I agree with you. FE is more relaxing even though you don't always know where you are going.

I see you are doing some good advertising for it and for Titia.

I have no idea! I just click save project as and hit the render button.

Well it was good luck then.

I've read that if you make your image very big just before saving it, say at 1920 x 1440 and don't bother to anti-alias which can be long, the fractal comes out smooth anyway.
You have to make it smaller after and it comes as a bitmap. Also at that size you can't modify the colours any more. I've been doing that.

I've done that with all the FE work I have posted. I can't be bothered learning a whole new set of render settings. WYSIWYG!!

What is that crypted thing at the end? What you say is what you get???

Thanks. I play with FE when I'm tired of racking my brain over apo. I don't need to think as much!

I just found a free download of FE. Do you know where I can find a good beginner tutorial?

FE is a free program. Don't let anyone try to make you pay for it, which has happened in the past. I suggest you join the FE Users Group, found here....

There are very few tutorials for FE. I have just muddled along on my own. You may want to look over these....

bit too much 'rocket science' for me!

Also *titiavanbeugen has quite a number of 'spot' files, ie. FE parameters, for public use. The link is on her front page. Titia also wrote a tutorial, but it's in Dutch.

Good luck.

What a beautiful Fractal! it would make a wonderful terragen terrain, If I convert this and use it for a terrain would you mind?
