Ruby's holding a bottle containing Sam's soul, my current WIP.I'm not really happy with the mood of this pic at all. I really dislike her eyes and I'm kinda in the "I'l starting over" mood.
What do you guys think?

I really like this, especially the symbolism of her holding Sam's soul. It figures that she would find a way to get the upper hand in any situation.
I agree with the previous commenter about Ruby/Kaite's vibrant personality. Though she was calculating and to-the-point, she had a strange sort of magnetism that drew you in.
I am, by no means, an expert or even a novice in terms of art and the components within it, but I think that if you add a little bit of movement in her pose, and add a few details to her expression, it would add more to the mood.

Pertaining to your comment about the mood of the piece, I'm going to have to agree with you, I think. Ruby - at least the original blonde one - had a very vibrant personality. She was just active by nature, but how you have her depicted here, she...is not so much. She's very calm, calculating, which is another aspect of the character, but it's not as powerful as I think it could be if you tried a different pose. Perhaps try some thumbnail sketches and see what you come up with?

Cold? A little, but not much since she's unfinished. The original Ruby was cold but in a strange way. Katie Cassidy always had this strange warmth to her.
As for her holding Sam's soul, it's a great idea, especially symbolically. She manipulated Sam throughout their relationship (though I firmly believe that it wasn't until Genevieve Cortese came around, after Ruby had climbed her way back out of hell, that she became the evil thing that we saw at the end) so showing her holding his soul works.
No problem. I love SPN and good art, so when they combine, it's superfantasticawesome.
