Jenna the optimist, Aravi the pessimist and Erik and Emilia trying to figure out what makes Ulfric tick.So, all of you who are hoping for a traditional beatdown... well, Jenna's made it clear she doesn't want to do that since it'll send Skyrim into further turmoil. So, I guess we'll have to see if her plan works.Β
Admittedly, some of the dialogue between Jenna and Aravi is very much inspired by some conversations with about the current POTUS (even before he was elected. Some I think even before he received the Republican nod for that matter.) Though I feel there is a slight difference between Ulfric and Donald, which I hope you pick up on in this episode. Even with that, it's going to be hard to reason with a hard-headed Nord.
Maybe Erik just needs to borrow his counterpart's suit from ?
Then Jenna will keep her hands clean.

Hmm... well, if somebody is going to get redeemed with the power of optimism and understanding in this season, I'd rather it be Ulfric than Miraak. I'll just have to buckle up and see how this goes.

I've always backed Ulfric, but your Ulfric seems to be a lot more underhanded (are we sure he's not a Breton? They're the ones who do this sort of thing). He also seems to have gone from " I want to defend my people, my country and our way of life." to " I hate everyone who isn't a Nord!"
I wonder what exactly Jenna will do.

Yeah, I did make him a bit more underhanded. But, hey, isn't part of defending your country making sure "bad people" are out of it? I mean, any elf or Khajiit or Imperial could easily be a Thalmor spy. Redguards and Bretons, maybe, too. They can be bought. You just can't trust them! The people you can trust are the ones you best understand, which is your own kind. 
I think yelling and screaming is definitely in order.

That's true, it's a fine line to tread between doing what has to be done and doing things out of hate, distrust or indifference. and my Ulfric also wants to keep Skyrim safe. I doubt he'll be duplicitous in his methods though ( But I haven't really decided yet!)
In my story I plan on having Ulfric being reminded of his days in the legion, where he wore Orc made armour, was healed by Breton healers and was inspired by an Imperial preacher's sermon on emulating Talos. Basically encouraging him to remember that while there are many differences between the people of Tamriel, they can work together. This in conjunction with the examples set by my four main characters is enough to convince him that there's a place in Skyrim for at least some non-Nords.

A good question, what does make Ulfric tick? It's best to best to think optimistic in times like this Skyrim could use more of that.
