Final Fantasy III - Elia, Once you meet Her
yeah, I've done this fanart before but this time is different.I fell in love with Aria/Elia...even though I have painted her once (in a naughty way and lack of skills on digital painting back then lol) but now that I'm currently playing Final Fantasy III DS version, I got to know her and she's really something.
In fact she reminds me of Aeris...they are quite similar in personality.but Aria is kinder.
and Final Fantasy III is hard as hell but it surely rocks

Kyaaahhh~ I love this picture, the colors are so pretty and the backround is pleasing to the eyes~ so here I go...
Vision: I love the backround and water in this picture! the hair is pretty and when its floating in the water it makes me think of the nightmare before christmas movie. you have a great sense of depth.
Originality: I have yet to see this picture elsewhere (it might be out there...I dont know) but yeah, not much to say there except good job!
Technique: i love your attention to detail, especially on the lighting ang the water...that hair looks like it must have taken FOREVER! and it was worth it~ but 2 things i could point out would be her arm and back, the arm seems a bit...im not quite sure how to say this, i suppose you could say it looks a bit akward probably because the back (that is showing) looks a bit ahh thick (like she has a chubby back). the bow in the back of her hair looks more like its to the side facing the viewer, so I suppose you could hide it a bit more other than that it looks great! and last but not least Impact: when I saw this all I could say was "OOOOOH! pretty~" so...I think thats enough said e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="

hello, thank you for the constructive critique, it surely helped! I usually suck at backgrounds but this time I've made some effort in working out a bit more on the background in order to bring out on the character so I did it simple.
About the originality,i didnt understand what you mean, but its a fanart you get to see some fanart of Aria, or if you mentioned about the pose, yeah its possible that could look familiar, I made this without references based on my knowledge so I just created a simple and easy pose, that we could've see it in some drawings nowadays
As for the back, it was her "blade-bone" (not sure if this name's correct) supposedly lol I had some trouble on that part, and I think you were right about her elbow, I could see it now, because of her position i should've hide it a bit more, and that's a lesson I take for not using references 
As for the hair..I LOVE to draw hair, and blond hair is very tricky, because of the highlights and the pallete of yellows we have to work on because it could look fake or could just dont harmonize with the skin tone, so I really worked on that part.
Although I love this character, it was surely a good exercise on digital painting, i'm still not used to paint digitally, I'm better with linearts and stuff, so I'm pretty happy that I had I good review on my newbie painting skill.Thank you very much!

And she reminds me Aerith %) aww, and this scene with Aria`s death reminds me the tragic scene with Aerith`s death...)And I think Aria would be the best girl for Luneth :sad: So sad that it didn`t happen 
Oh yeah, I`ve heard that FF III is kinda diffcult %) I wish good luck to finish this game and a lot of inspiration - to draw a new one wonderful art-work

in English Version is Aria, but in Japanese is Elia...or Eria...Just like Aeris in Japanese...etc.
