This is my entry for 's contest for an original Okami character.She is Chizuegami- Goddess of Life.
I was originally going to color her in, but I think it has a certain charm this way. I used only Sakura Micron pen (and red Prismacolor pencil for her goddess markings). I varied the thickness of lines to give the illusion of ink brushstrokes. (although I should have just painted it with ink lol)
Chizue is a Japanese name meaning Thousand Storks (Long Life)
This isn't modeled after a real bird, I just drew it. Any likeness is coincidental.

Thank you!! It would have been beautiful in color, but it would have taken me 10 hours and might have been too busy. I like the effect it has now
