Description
Although I promised myself I would not make more ornaments because they were so difficult to paint, I found a plaster ornament and decided to give it a try. The ornaments I painted the last 2 years were porcelain and plastic, and both needed like 8 layers of paint to get the color to stay on. This plaster ornament actually didn't give me any trouble!

I decided to go with Totoro this year. (Who doesn't like Totoro?)

Ornament is 3.5 inches long, 4 inches tall, and 1/2 and inch thick. I used acrylic paint, and DecoColor paint pen for the outlines. I painted the top and bottom tips in metallic gold paint, and used some metallic silver paint for the back, where I wrote "Happy Holidays."

Totoro is owned by Studio Ghibli and Hayao Miyazaki
