I guess this would kind of be a spoiler to those who haven’t read the second half of Death Note so I’m writing this here so you can’t say I didn’t warn you. XD

This is of Mello and Matt from Death Note. (In my opinion once of the best DN couples. Light and L are better though…XD) Well as you may or may not know Matt is killed by Kira followers and Mello is killed by Takeda (Oh how I hate her) shortly after. So the picture was supposed to be like Matt was waiting for Mello. Then he was kind of showing Mello that they can do what ever they want in Heaven and maybe to impress him, and made the sparkly heart thing. Then Mello’s smirking thinking “I’m so going to rule Heaven.” or something like that. XD I think Mello’s wings are the best I’ve ever drawn.

I’ve been wanting to draw Mello and Matt for a long time so when I found a contest that wanted them drawn I was happy. It was also close to the type of picture I wanted to draw of them.

Also (a random little bit of useless information) the song "Time of Dying" has always reminded me of Mello and Matt. The part that says “I will not die, I’ll wait here for you. I feel alive when your beside me. I will not die I’ll wait here for you…in my Time of Dying” has always reminded me of like Matt waiting for Mello and such. I have a song for a lot of them. XD
