Description Okay, the bulk of the coloring is done though it needs a little clean up and I still have to figure out how to color all those chains. @_@;;;; I can't decide on a final color scheme though... The original black leather with purple under cloak is on the left; new red under cloak and dark purple leather is on the right. I like elements of both, and others not so much...

Also, I am -totally- at a loss as to what kind of a background to give this. It started out as just plain 'ole character design, but then I had to color it, and now it looks like it needs some really awesomely creepy atmosphereic BG or something... *clueless* Of course, the coloring is *totally* generic so that might make adding a bg like hat hard... feh. XP~~

Thoughts?

-----------------------

Haven't posted anything for a while so I thought I'd through this up. This is as far as I got tonight, here's hoping I'll get to finish it this week.

This is the evil version of my character Rilrae. She's delightfully wicked. The D&D game I am playing her in is obsurdly overpowered (which is totally intentional) so I decided all her costumes should be totally unrealistic. This is actually costume #2, the first one is a little better-- it actually has two small sections that you could CALL chainmail, though nothing close to the full suit that her character sheet SAYS she wears. BWAHAHAHHAA!!! XP~~~~ I left her weapons out because I'm lazy, but she weilds a cruel looking scimitar with a spiked chain attached to the pomel. XP She is a vile combat monster. Playing her is beyond fun. >Yum<

Oh, yeah. For those that don't, she's hald drow, half deep dragon. ;3

Interesting trick - cross your eyes when looking at the image (as you have it set perfectly side-by-side). The cape has a really neat shimmering effect along with the leather armor.

I liked the red-ish on better (the one on the right)... it's a bit more hot and fire... somehow I think that it suits the character better. A background would have to be someplace windy, to justify the wind in the cape and hair. I think a cave would be cool. =^_^=

I really like those colors. They match her dark personality. A neat background would be like a dungeon or something along those lines. But I guess that's up to you. Whatever you pick I'm sure it'll look great.

to be completely honest, i'd go for black/dark grey. that way it matches the light armor/metal with her boots. (which, by the way, i want a pair of.) all of the goth posuer kids can't get enough of the black/red and black/purple combinations here on DA. both combinations are great and all, but they're starting to become boring to me.

as for the background, halloween is just a few weeks away. maybe a graveyard or an old, abandoned church might work.

Hmm, they both look really good. honestly, I'm not sure what to say about the difficulties in choosing between black/purple and purple/red. While the black and purple scheme goes better with the metal parts, the red undercloak goes *much* better with her skin tone (and the red jewels). ^.^;

As for backgrounds, I would think dark, cold, slightly-purple-cast mountains if you go with the purple undercloak, or dark but fiery lava-pit-of-hell type thing if you go with the red undercloak. (What really mean with this is something with generally the same atmosphere/attitude.)

Obviously, you can even print out my advice and then use it in a fire for warmth in the winter if you want to ~.^ , especially considering I don't remember anything about this character. But maybe that will help, with the alternate reality bit. ^.^;

Hehe, well, this is an alternate reality version of her where she grew up evil instead of good. It's fun playing the flipside of her. And glad you like the design!!

Ahhh...good ol' Deep Dragons >_> we have one in our party *npc*...and due to our party's allignments, and how long the dragon's been with us, he's shifted all the way from chaotic evil, to nuetral > :3 we aim to corrupt!

Thanks!!

Ahh yes, Rilrae started out as chaotic neutral and then went to neutral good or neutral evil depending on who raised her. The funny part is that in the evil game right now she's been shown the alternate reality that is her life if she was good, and she's totally trippin' over how powerful and influential she gets. She's like "Wait, you mean I don't have to be totally selfish and walk all over people to get what I want?? But damn... that's so much fun..." Oh the drama, I love it. =3

Deep dragons are fun; they have a –disgusting- breath weapon. I'm in debate if I should update Rilrae's look to match the new deep dragons... I'm just not as fond of it as the old version. . I AM in love with the way Lockwood does dragons. I want to be him when I grow up. *nod*
