Species: Firefly Dragon/Human Hybrid
Height: 5' Top of head - 5'4" with horns

ADDED Bio:

Growing up in an alternative of Earth were there are large, dangerous monsters and creatures, humans have had to adapt and figure out ways to live with said creatures. Its sad to say its not ended well with various species (the more dangerous ones) and have been almost wiped off the face of the planet. The more passive ones have been left alone and kept under watch just in case. Some have been tamed, others have just been left to their own devices.
However, the supposedly "wrongly accused" animals have been put into facilities to repopulate their numbers. Which is good for the firefly dragons. Though... Her dad, Waldo, made a bit of a boo-boo for the whole world with... Holly's birth. Not to say he regrets having her, he just wishes the world would treat her better.

For the first few years of her life, she's lived with her mother and a handful of other firefly dragons. There were regular visits to the father, but it was mostly kept quiet until she was too big to not notice when the dragons landed. After the news flash, she lived with Waldo on and off as he defended her existence and home schooled her.

They've not lived a peaceful life with all the media and conservative people (from living in the south) barking at them, but they make do.

Personality:

Holly has trouble with how she should behave most days. Whether she should take on her more human or dragon side and trying to find a happy medium is more tedious than anything. She is nice and civil most of the time, helpful where she sees fit and kind, but that doesn't give you rights to push her buttons or take advantage of her kindness in any way. She can be distant to most human beings and avoids trouble when she can, but if she sees someone's in a tight spot, she'll try to give a helping hand.
IF she gets in trouble, more often then not, she'll try scaring off a person and not back down so easily. But, she's mostly dealt with humans so facing non human opponents will prove difficult if she can't scare them away. When they prove to be too much, she'll flee to think of a better plan.
In scaring off methods, she'll throw a punch or two or a small ball of fire, avoiding to use claws or direct fire contact. She's had bad experiences with such violent contact before...

Speaking of non human opponents, chances are she'll warm up to them faster then she normally would. Then eventually figuring out she's in a completely different area entirely and feel... alittle less outcasted than she usually is.

The new place not be as bad she first thought.

Abilities:
- Breathing fire of varying degrees**
- Can also breathe out the gas that's in her belly, but its very rare she does.
- Has amazing stamina and fire resistance.
- Her grip is like that of a dead man's. It takes ALOT of effort to make her let go of things.
- Hands and feet have thick skin, so she can stand ground or hold things most people can't. Like really prickly sticks or ... sucky, rocky ground... I dunno man. She's thick skinned.
- Can steal light and heat by 'breathing in' or 'sucking' it from the source.
   - From fire to lightbulbs and any other light source I can't think of.
       -Fires affected will hold a black flame and burns like dry ice.
   - The light adsorbed replenishes her belly reserve.
   - Any source darkened will remain so unless the dragon lifts the magic veil on it. Or mage. Both work.
- Can see in the dark.

Weaknesses:
- Though she can run forever, it doesn't mean she can go very fast and might end in clumsy falls.
- She can't turn her glow off. Its easy to spot her in the dark. Especially if she's without her sweater and undershirt. She sticks out like a lighthouse.
- Extensive fire use can make her sick and weak.
- No outrageous regenerative powers. Outside of thick skin, she's vulnerable as a human.

Belly facts:
- Glows bright with a noxious and flammable gas. Sometimes it's got little orbs of light that float around in it.
   **When breathing fire, it uses this reserve of gas. The amount present usually affects the degrees of fire. Bright: almost instant 3rd degree burns/charring of skin. Dim: Basic if almost weak fires.
- The gas contents are under high pressure, so compressing by pushing on it is very difficult. If a heavy object falls on her and applies large amounts of pressure to her belly, it will cause her alot of discomfort or pain.
- The air of a nice sized apartment is compacted in her.
* The glow is affected by her health and vise versa. The brighter it is, the healthier. The dimmer it is, the more likely she'll lose energy and become sick.
   - Brightness ranges from bonfire to a handful of fireflies. (to their extremes)
   - As mentioned before, stealing light and heat will make her better. Eating helps too.
- While her glow spots are enjoyably warm to the touch, her belly at normal or high brightness will feel like a hot pan. So don't touch. Contents are hot.
- It is very possible for the transparent skin to be punctured with a sharp object, but not pressed on. But doing so will release the compressed gases and cause a rather fearsome knock back for Holly. Inhalation of the gases will cause breathing problems, lung irritation and nausea. The smallest spark could ignite it can start a vicious fire. Its best to evacuate the area while it disperses.
   - Rupturing the belly pouch will cause Holly's health to rapidly decline and could kill her if it isn't repaired. When repaired, she'll need to be looked after and fed alot to replenish the gases.
- Any altitude pressure changes that happen during flying are naturally taken care of. I ain't going into detail. I'm not that science-y.

OTHER BITS:
- She likes the color orange, eating (bugs, vegetation and some meats) and flying with her mother.
- Doesn't care for swimming, she usually ends up floating on her back anyways. (Built-in floatation device n all)
- Speaks English and the native language of her species.
- Doesn't like it when you point out she might be pregnant. She's not. She's just full of gas.
- Her clothes are fire resistant.
- Is generally in very good health alot of the time.
- Likes walking and doing errands.
- Works as a baker with her dad and grandparents.
