Description
My Dark Elf Dragonborn Davaen. I love her so much, but I don't think she'd be particularly reciprocative--she's a bit of a loner and extra against displays of affection--unless of course she's flirting with Farengar, in which case she has no limits whatsoever. That's one of the reasons you rarely see her face, besides the Dragon Priest masks being fucking AWESOME--she knows elves aren't popular in Skyrim (even though everyone seems to know your name and ethnicity without you telling them, even in a mask) and she's also freaky-looking.

Davaen is a pure Dark Elf, but she was born in Skyrim; her parents were refugees from the Red Mountain's explosion who settled just outside the border of Morrowind, and she was born a few years later in Eastmarch, just southeast of Windhelm. When she was 15, her parents were killed in a conflict between the Stormcloaks and Imperials while she was at school; she never actually found out what happened to them, only that they weren't there when she came home and there was blood. After a few years of living in her parents' house and working odd jobs, she struck out on her own with the intention of heading to Cyrodill and find her grandparents, who had moved there before the eruption. She was 36 (young in elf years) when she was caught trying to cross the border, and was slated for execution with two Stormcloaks and a horse thief. But then Alduin attacked Helgen, allowing her to escape (which is ironic). She soon discovered she was the Dragonborn, and all that that entailed.

She was nearly 37 when she encountered the Dark Brotherhood and joined them, helping facilitate the greatest assassination the Brotherhood had done in years; the assassination of the emperor. Shortly after that, she joined the mage's college in Winterhold, resulting in her facing her first Dragon Priest and becoming the new Arch-Mage of the college. She eventually also became the new leader of the Dark Brotherhood at 39 after the death of Astrid. She is the head Nightingale of the Thieves' Guild, the Harbringer of the Companions, and a Vampire Lord and defeater of Lord Harkon.

When she was 38, she defeated Alduin the World-Eater, saving Nirn and becoming a true Dragonborn--a claim hotly disputed by the ancient Dragonborn Miraak, who was trying to return to Nirn from Apocyrpha where he had been for the past thousand-or-so years. Hermaeus Mora chose her over Miraak and allowed her to defeat him, something she did not do with her usual zeal to kill. He was the only other Dragonborn besides herself she'd ever known.

Davaen is cocky, self-assured and sometimes rather rude. She's polite and kind to everyone she meets, unless they give her reason to be mean, but she's also aware of her immense power and skill and has no qualms intimidating people who ask for it. Her personality and behavior can often flip-flop between sunshine and rainbows, and "I am a bitch what's it to you?" She has a limited number of friends, preferring to be a loner instead, but they all recognize her as a sassy, headstrong and stubborn woman. She has a bit of an "I want what I want when I want it and I want it now" mentality, which has gotten her into trouble several times; she also tends to not take kindly to ingrates. She has a quick temper, quicker tongue and the only thing she's truly committed to is the life of an adventurer.

Davaen does not like Lydia (mainly because Lydia incessantly gets in her way) but tolerates her and considers her at least a neutral acquaintance. One of her better friends is Brelyna, a fellow apprentice from the College, who accidentally turned her green for a day and a half. She is also very close to Veezara, in the Dark Brotherhood, and of course her faithful jester Cicero, who is one of her closest friends--even though he drives her crazy on a day-to-day basis. She is friendly with Mijol the Lioness, and her one true best friend is Serana, Lord Harkon's daughter, who Davaen had a mild crush on for a while

Her romantic interest is Whierun's Court Wizard, Farengar, who tried his best to avoid her advances at first. She and Farengar are sort of together, but even though she wears an Amulet of Mara he still is leery of taking that next step.

She has a good relationship with Odahviing, the Dragon who allows her to summon him when she needs his aid, and Konahrik, the Dragon Priest whose soul resides in one of her many masks. She learned how to communicate with Konahrik through Paarthunax, who had known the priest while he lived, and used that knowledge to talk to the spirit and apologize for murdering his god and slaughtering his friends--he didn't mind, because he had seen what she had seen and knew she would have left the other Dragon Priests alone if they hadn't tried to kill her; Alduin deserved what he got, as hard as it was for him to admit it, and he also agreed that the other priests had become corrupted. They were, after all, altogether the reason he is dead. She can also summon Lucien LaChance, who is a bit droll for her taste, but almost a father figure to her. She treats Neloth of the Telvanni as a sort of crazy uncle figure, and they often get into verbal sparring matches. She does not share my taste in older men even remotely.

She is the champion of Mehrunes Dagon, Meridia, Molog Baal, Mephala, Azura, Sheogarath, Hermaeus Mora, Clavicus Vile, Peryite, Malacath and Hircine, and is currently hunting down the artifacts of Boethiah, Sanguine, Vaermina, Namira and the rest. Azura is her favorite Daedra, because not only is Azura one of the Dark Elves' Tribunal of gods, but the nicest Daedra she's ever met. Meridia follows a close second.

Davaen is a spellsword, utilizing one-handed attacks with a sword and powerful Destruction magic with the other hand. She specializes in Fire attacks, with Shock following closely, but has never developed Frost all that much. Her favorite spell of all time is Fireball, but she is capable of using Fire Storm. She is an Expert-level Destruction mage.

Her two favorite blades are her Ebony Sword, which does shock damage, and Dawnbreaker, the Daedric blade she recieved from Meridia. Her two favorite armor sets are the Dark Brotherhood Shrouded Armor, of which she has the Ancient set, a self-customized set and her initiate's set, all of which have been improved to Epic status. She also has a set of Ebony Armor for Heavy Armor, with a pair of ebony boots and gloves. She is always wearing one Dragon Priest mask or another, depending on what she's doing. Her favorite masks are Hevnoraak and Konahrik.
