Description The tall awkward guy of his unit (though not quite as tall as Jora) who is the only one from Earth.  90% of his other training squad is composed of aliens, and Earth is still mostly human-populated.  He got into the Galactic Patrol accidentally by filling out an application in between jobs, getting hired by a star cruiser ship-building company as a programmer, and then being essentially forced to quit his job and join the GP a year later.  He's still learning a lot about the various kinds of social etiquette with the different aliens he works with and how to get on Zilla's good side after unwittingly insulting her.  His nickname (given to him by his squadmates) is "Boggie" but he won't acknowledge you if you call him that.

Well... finally got around to reading these character bios and, I dare say, this story is quite promising! Once again you've constructed good character traits.... I can just imagine these people interacting with each other. The "Looks like a Cinnamon Roll but can kill you in a dozen ways" remark made me laugh pretty hard, and it makes me feel even more for poor ole' Boggie... making her mad and all. XD

Looking forward to seeing more on this project!

(Is Lucien Russian? Just sounds like an eastern European name.)

Thank you so much!  I'm glad to hear that!

lol Zilla's original character wasn't very exciting as a human, but making her an alien helped to liven things up a bit.  I'm really looking forward to writing her part when she's introduced in the story.   As if getting forced into the space cops wasn't bad enough, Boggie has a small, angry alien lady on his case!

Why yes he is!  His father is of East European descent and came over to North America when a tech company offered him a better-paying job.

I know I wouldn't want Zilla chasing me around! I feel bad for him. LOL

So, what format do you plan on using to tell this story?

She pops up in corners and shadows for the explicit purpose of giving him the Stink Eye. xD

Currently it's going to be written, but I'll have to go back and rewrite the beginning due to a few changes with the characters (like Shav going from human to alien and Jora's species getting swapped too).  It's one of my Big Novel Projects (along with my fantasy novel, 'Kangriss', and cyberpunk story 'Genesis Dissentire') that has been set aside for the time being so that I can focus on the comic and shorter stories like Haddock & Isolde.

I want to know more about your "Big Novel Projects." Do plan on publishing and selling them?

'Kangriss' is my oldest novel project (circa 2009), that started out as a high fantasy novel and evolved into a fantasy/steampunk story around 2012.  It's something of an adventure/romance...it's hard to explain! Set in a different world in the 1910s, the story follows Lucia Lordvan, the rich daughter of Count Lordvan, and Ranulf Kragwalker, a factory worker with ambitions of getting into the Sky Fleet.  I have the entire thing plotted out, but I haven't had the time or motivation to write in it as of late because it's sort of daunting.

'Genesis Dissentire' is a cyberpunk story loosely based off of a story about wolves I started writing in junior high.  I turned the characters into humans and made the story about a resistance force trying to take back their solar system from a Big Brother-type dictator.  I'm currently reworking the plot and characters since I settled on the more futuristic/cyberpunk setting (it used to be in the vein of the sci fi movies that have been coming out, but I love the feel of the TRON sequel/show so I wanted to write something like that).  I have more art pieces for it, I just haven't gotten around to coloring them and posting them on dA.

I hope to get them published one day...whenever I get around to writing in them again!  I'm trying to finish the Haddock & Isolde story this year to get it published as a novella, so hopefully actually completing a writing project will give me the confidence to work on the other three stories.

That's really awesome! I have to ask, will you ever post an excerpt from those manuscripts on the internet? (To get people interested that is.) I like reading sci-fi'ish themed novels due to the unconventional ways one can offer descriptions. You have a lot of wiggle room sometimes with that stuff! I'm very excited about the possibilities here. KEEP IT UP!

That would be so cool if you could actually get the Haddock & Isolde story published like that! and yes, once a thing is completed it will offer loads of encouragement.

Thanks!  I'd like to post some excerpts from each of them, but a few still require some heavy-duty editing before being set loose on the internet. xP  The most-edited so far is Kangriss (which just so happens to be the non-sci fi one lol), and I'm reworking GenDis from the ground up so it won't be ready anytime soon.

I'm trying to stick with this story instead of what I did with a sci fi novella that I stopped writing in with three chapters to go. xD

Yes, you should stick with the one you're currently making headway on. It has picked up a lot of followers.  If it got published... that would be awesome!

Poor fella. He just wanted to build ships.
I like his design and his outfit is pretty cool. Love that Collar.

lol The Galactic Patrol thought he could put his talents to better use than programming navcomputers.

Thank you!  I want a vest like that so I can pull my head in like a turtle when it's cold outside. xD

Oh man, I bet he's upset about that. Does he try to do a bad job so they would let him off? I really like his outfit!

Thank you!  lol He really is!  He figures he'll just suck it up and do the best that he can--having Sgt. North as a surly, haranguing training sergeant only makes him want to prove himself so he won't get called out as one of "The Slackers."

Ooo, I know I wouldn't want to slack with him. It will be interesting to see all of these characters interacting with one another, can't wait!
