Just an idea~
What If Satine Kryze was the no-nonsense Mand’alor from Karen Traviss’s version of Mandalore who wanted to keep her people out of the Republic’s mess of a war and who was also fighting Death Watch from spreading propaganda and a false impression of Mandalorians...?
- I imagine she'd also still hold some sensibilities from her original version, like making those she meets with feel comfortable and equal; for example, removing her helmet when speaking to them one-on-one and offering a steaming cup of tea with a "We're warriors, not barbarians" quip.
- She's frustrated with her sister for joining Death Watch and is trying to be patient with her to see if she'll "come back to her senses." This doesn't mean she'd hesitate to fight her if they met in combat though...
- She dresses up when she has to visit The Senate by adding little war trophies and other accessories to her beskar, and although she technically shouldn't be carrying weapons into the Senate building, she has some vibroblades tucked up her sleeves. ;D When that Death Watch member attacks her on Coruscant, they don't get away unscathed. >_>
- Satine and Obi-Wan still butt heads over the Clone Wars and how it's a detriment to the galaxy for both sides. The whole 'Death Watch' arc would be her dragging Obi-Wan to Concord Dawn to investigate what's been going on there, and to prove that it's a small faction of Mandalorians who are the ones acting as terrorists, not her people as a whole.
*Obi-Wan and Satine spying on the Death Watch members going about their business at their main staging ground* Obi-Wan: You're giving me an "I told you so" look. I just know it.
Satine: Well I'm still going to say it anyways: I told you so.
- While she doesn't want to be labeled as a Pacifist, she still doesn't want anything to do with the War; has a "it's the Republic's mess, it's their responsibility to clean it up, not ours" outlook.
