Zoran are a race of all-male, horned mermen. They mate only once a year when a select few develop female organs within themselves during the mating period. They remain that way until either the end of mating season or a year after giving birth. Zoran remain pregnant for about 7 months, normally giving birth to two offspring at a time.
They are omnivorous, but mainly they dine on fish. Technology-wise, they are fairly primitive, relying on physics, math, and magic
