Yes, I'm back... And I brought this asswipe with me.
Name: Adrian Xavier Sinister
Nickname: Sinister or Mr. Sinister (Few call him Adrian)
Age: Unknown (He's lived for thousands of years. He was born somewhere in the 1600's, but never kept track of his actual birthday)
Species: Unknown
Hair: His hair is long and somewhat curly. The color is grey gradient, but a bit darker towards the top.
Height: 5"8
Weight: 145 ib
Eye Color: Red
Occupation: Ringmaster at Cirque Sinistre
Abilities: Shape Shifting (He doesn't normally transform into anything other than himself... On rare occasions he may take the form of a younger version of himself), the ability to see one's fears, travels by shadows, he also has a few other random miscellaneous abilities that he has discovered over time. He appears to be able to summon what he wants as will and contrary to popular belief, he can't actual bring someone back to life. He has the ability to take people that are only seconds from death, and heal them, however once they are dead, they're dead. This giving the illusion that he has the ability to resurrect the dead.
Description: He's very flamboyant and loves flashy outfits. He has very sharp teeth and appears to be elf-like because of the ears.
Personality: He's a cocky little bastard who enjoys torturing people because it makes him feel powerful and superior. He's very extrovert and is not afraid to stick his nose into other people's business(He does this as a way to keep order in his circus and have an advantage over his performers). He can't stand to be bored, so he often runs around the circus looking for things to do (Because of this it may often be hard to find him, but don't worry, he can always find whoever is seeking him). To some he would appear to have no sense of right and wrong, but in reality, he does... He simply chooses to ignore what's right. He is also very childish in some ways. Adrian can throw a HECK of a temper tantrum... And it gets ugly... Very quickly... Typically he does this in private though. He doesn't like to show that deep down, he is weak. He also doesn't want to show many aspects of being human. He doesn't want to be relatable (mainly because he doesn't want to hear people pity him. It absolutely disgusts him.).
Bio/Motivations:
Adrian Xavier was born in the early 1600's. His mother was a human was viscously raped by a demon. She raised Adrian alone until he was about 7 years old. After that she took her own life because she could not live with such sins baring down on her shoulders.
After that Adrian lived out on the streets for a while. He would stare at the people who walked by him. They always seemed to pity him and scorn him, but never talk to him directly. Everyone avoided him for what he was... Until he met a young boy named Thomas and his friend Elizabeth, who showed him nothing but kindness. Adrian was hesitant to trust them, but eventually Thomas was able to weasel his way into Adrian's heart.
For a long time, they grew up having fun together. Adrian would show them magic tricks he learned, mostly in order to impress Elizabeth. As Adrian grew older, he became infatuated with Elizabeth. He knew literally nothing about her, and only saw her when Thomas was around, but he truly thought he had fallen in love with her. He wanted to be together with her forever, but this dream appeared to be dashed, when Thomas told Adrian that he wanted to ask Elizabeth to marry him. Thomas knew how Adrian felt about Elizabeth, which is why he went to Adrian first. Although it was painful, he told Thomas that he wished the two the best.
Not long after, Thomas grows ill. He got to a point where he could no longer leave his bed. Thomas looked forward to the days that Adrian comes to visit. Adrian would always bring over new and fascinating books he found and share them with his dear friend. One of their favorites, was a book that talked about something called a"circus". Adrian promised Thomas that one day, when he got better, the two would go to a circus together. That thought made Thomas very happy, but unfortunately he never got to go. A few months later, Thomas died.
As time passed, Elizabeth and Adrian had not spoken a word. Adrian was fired from his job that Thomas had worked so hard to get him, but luckily he had made a large sum of money that would be able to support him on his own for a very long time. One night, Adrian encountered an unexpected guest at his door, Elizabeth. After some awkward silences and meaningless small talk, Elizabeth confessed that she loved Adrian and that she really wanted to be with him instead of Thomas. She claimed that Thomas was a abusive and cruel to her. Adrian did not want to believe it, but something in Elizabeth's eyes convinced him. They later got married and lived together for a short time.
Adrian was happy to finally have what he wanted, but yet, he felt their relationship was one-sided. Elizabeth never truly showed any feelings towards Adrian like she claimed, however Adrian was in denial. It wasn't until Elizabeth finally cracked, that he saw her true colors. She told him that she truly hated him, and she only hung around with him because of Thomas. She felt he was disgusting and she only stayed with him for his money because she feared living on her own and being unable to support herself. After that, she left. Adrian heard that a month later she had stabbed herself. He wasn't sure what to think... What to feel.
Adrian tried to forget about all that had happened. One day he was on his way to the market and realized that the streets were more quiet than usual. As he took a small trail into a forest, he was jumped by three men who beat him and claimed that he killed Elizabeth. After being beaten to a pulp, he lie there for hours (going in and out of consciousness). Eventually he woke up and noticed that his wounds had been healing, slowly, but they were healing. He heard something come from the bushes, and he tried to quickly get to his feet. He was very weak, but still tried desperately to defend himself. A large dog-like beast leapt from the bushes, but Adrian was able to levitate a large boulder towards the beast and smash it onto the ground with what power he had left. Once the beast was pinned down, he walked over to it... It was a strange looking creature. It didn't have a face, however it had a large mouth on it's chest filled with long sharp teeth. It seemed like it was smiling, even through the pain. At the time, Adrian comes to an epiphany. The creature suffering before him, was just like him. Only moments before, he was in a similar situation. Helpless. He spoke to the creature, but it did not make a sound, not even a cry for help. It only struggled to get free. Eventually, Adrian decided to lift the boulder off of the beast. The beast stood up and examined Adrian, after a few moments, it seemed to like him. Perhaps it knew what Adrian was once it took the time to see him as more than prey? The beast never talks, so one may never truly know the answer to that.
Filled with anger and a desire for revenge, he asked the beast if he would accompany him for dinner. That night, he brutally murdered everyone in the town. The man who was most responsible for beating him, was the last to be killed. The man yelled at Adrian, "You're a vile and sinister creature! The Devil!" To which he smiled and said claimed to like being called, "Sinister".
After the massacre, Adrian lived alone in the town. He practiced his magic and learned new spells with his new companion, Smiley. One day Adrian came across an interesting new spell he had. He had the ability to teleport anywhere he wanted by shadows. He was in awe of his new ability and practiced often. Teleporting from one short distance to another. While, he was practicing, he ended up teleporting to a very unfamiliar place. The atmosphere was dark and bleak. He saw creatures roaming around that looked like none he had ever seen before. Once he was able to meet back up with Smiley, the two explored this fascinating new world (or at least new for one of them).
Time passed and Adrian did not return to the surface. He remembered Thomas and the circus... Then he decided to make one of his own. Cirque Sinistre! The first circus, where those who had commit suicide were brought in order to die for everyone's entertainment. Things seemed to be going well for Adrian. He enjoyed watching the performers futile attempts to survive... All attempts which were thwarted by the new found Adrian Xavier Sinister's twisted mind.
Eventually the underworld council found out about this and called Mr. Sinister in to court. They charged him for throwing off the balance and order of the surface world and the underworld... The charges were severe, but Sinister showed no sign of regret or guilt for what he had done. He found the charges to be laughable and did not take the council seriously. To punish him for his sins, Sinister was forever tied to the circus he had created. The only way for him to leave was to collect enough Audience Points (determined by the council) based on all his performers performances. But was that really a punishment? He liked what he did and loved his new home. He didn't care what the council threw at him. He could live with it either way... or so he thought...
Years passed and Sinister continued to kill his performers during their performances... But after a while... He grew bored... He was all alone, except for his companion, Smiley, who for some reason, still decided not to turn against him yet. The loneliness and boredom got to Adrian and he decided to reform the circus. This is where he made the 'second circus' (AKA the current Cirque Sinistre). He still found pleasure in tormenting his performers, however he let many of them survive (unless giving him a good reason to kill them). Over time, he learned even his reform couldn't save him... As performers continued to earn points in performances... Performers also continued to lose points. Adrian finally realized the cruelty behind his punishment... He could never leave he circus...
He continues to run his circus and earn his freedom, as hopeless as it may be, but continues to be trapped there... Watching his performers either leave once they have met their quota or die.
===
Likes: He enjoys watching his own circus, Sweets, He claims he hates his performers and that they are all ignorant (Which is half true, but in reality he enjoys their company... He doesn't necessarily like them... But doesn't necessarily hate them), dressing flashy, attention (Whether it be good or bad. It makes no difference to him), he also enjoys the taste of human flesh (his demon half) and tries to hide this from the public (Typically he will devour the bodies of performers that die in a performance. He claims to be throwing the bodies to the shadow beasts, but in reality, he always saves a bit for himself).
Dislikes: Puzzles he can't solve (Especially the Rubik's cube... One of his biggest pet peeves. He stole it from one of the more modern patrons and has yet to figure out it's 'secrets'), Cats (He can't stand them shedding around his circus. Although they looks absolutely nothing like a human cat, they share just about all the same mannerisms as surface world cats), Those who annoy him (Get on his nerves too much and he won't hesitate to kill you.), When people try to steal his many fashionable hats, Being bored (He doesn't care when other people are bored, but when it comes to himself, he'll annoy you until you give in...)
Relationships: For the most part, he doesn't have a good relationship with anyone. He enjoys watching his performers, but at the same time hates it. He finds it fascinating to see how people change in the time-span of their stay in the circus. The only truly positive relationships he has are with his loyal magician, Blue, and the lovely fortune teller, Adele.
-He would never admit it, but deep down, Blue is probably the closest thing to a friend that Sinister has. He found him a bit annoying and whiny at first, but over time both have grown quite fond of each other's company. Although Sinister never expresses any form of gratitude towards him, Blue can feel that Sinister really does think quite highly of him.
-Adele and Adrian have had a very strange relationship since they met. Adele's challenging of Adrian's authority aggravated him immensely. They argued all the time. They couldn't stand each other, yet they couldn't go a day without arguing with one another. Their relationship began with an exchange of harsh words with one another and sometimes sex. Adrian began deducting her points in order to keep her in the circus longer. She was quite popular with the crowds and thus earned Adrian quite a few Audience Points himself. After a while, things began to change with the two. Adele expressed more concern towards Adrian, which baffled him. He didn't like how close she was getting so he did all in his power to avoid her (eye contact, conversation, ect.). Eventually there came a time when Adele's concern became too much. He asked her why it was that she seemed to care so much for him. To that she claimed that he was the only person in the world she had left. People came and left from the circus, but the only people who stayed were Adrian and Adele (and the occasional Ryuu). He claimed that her response was very strange, however deep down... That was one of the reasons he kept her in the circus as well. Adele was Adrian's familiar. She was someone who he felt would always be there for him.
However, Adrian would not let his feelings get the better of him. Not after Elizabeth. He doubted Adele's feelings towards him and tortured her constantly in hopes that she would cave in and confess her lies... But she never did. No matter what was thrown at her Adele took it. After some years, Adrian began to realize, that she might be telling the truth... As little as he understood it. He had finally caved and fell in love with her. He never tells her directly how he feels towards her, but subtle hints are dropped that suggest this. Over the years, both Adrian and Adele have tried to keep their relationship secretive, but rumors spread and soon enough, just about everyone knew about the relationship.
Adrian still tortures these two in order to show that he's still the top dog, although it honestly pains him to feel he needs to hurt them all the time.
Weakness/Flaws: Although he is considered "immortal" (I use the term loosely because he's not completely immortal. There is an extent his body can take), his body takes a long time to recover after a beating. Adrian may appear calm and collected, but in reality he may have a short temper. He tries his best not to show it, but sometimes his emotions get the better of him. Adrian can never go beyond shadow beast territory. He is stuck there due to a curse cast on him by the underworld council in order to make him suffer for his sins.
