Wrecking Ball is one of Ultra Woman's strongest and most brutal enemies. Originally he was a sports jock turned into super powered mercenary, but I like my new idea for him...

Jamal Jones had been a star football player in high school and college. He had geeks taking his tests and rarely went to class. His college coach bought him a car through secret intermediaries. He always had sexy undergrads in his bed.

When he was drafted to the AFA (American Football Association) by the greatest team, the Megapolis Megs, he was sure the good times would continue to roll. He got a bazillion dollars and a posse the size of a small town.

The pros were not high school or college. He could no longer work half-heartedly and show up at the games and win thanks to his incredible genes.

Five years later, he was third string with his contract expiring and most of his money gone to his posse and other so-called friends that sponged off him for five years. He had five baby-mamas wanting their thousands of dollars to raise his six illegitimate kids. The money was out and he was about to become a free agent who was nothing but a draft day bust.

As the day of doom came, Jamal looked for an easy way out. Everything had always come easy to him, so simply working his ass off in the weight room seemed so hard! He wanted to try steroids as quick way to be better, but a teammate got a suspension and was cut soon after. Jamal did not want that to happen.

In his darkest days of desperation, he was approached by a mysterious man that claimed to see the better qualities in Jamal. He wanted to see Jamal excel again and had just want Jamal needed: new experimental steroids based on a new medical breaththrough that no one could discover, since they had never heard of it.

His worries were quickly calmed by the man Jamal assumed to be a professor at his old college. Everyone had loved him there! Besides Jamal wanted to be convinced. He wanted that next bazillion dollar contract and get back his posse and be Jamal Jones, superstar, again! Jamal let the man inject him, five injections over five weeks.

At first he could feel himself getting stronger and leaner, which he liked, but he kept having terrible tantrums. Jamal had always used his physique to intimidate, but he had never had to fight...everyone was too scared of him. But now he wanted to fight.

When he found supposed professor and tried to explain to him about these tantrums and emotional changes he had been experiencing, the professor revealed himself to be a member of the secret mercenary organization, the Cartel. He explained that Jamal had been a guinea pig and, perhaps because of his exceptional genes, he had been the first to survive the five injections. As the man spoke, Jamal began to feel like a jerk, like he had been used which he had. He got angry. Then angrier. Finally when the Cartel scientist laughed at him, Jamal saw red. In seconds, the huge but normal man grew to 10 feet tall and over a ton of pure muscle over muscle. As the man fled in terror for his life, Jamal destroyed the building around them and was unharmed. Then he destroyed the cars outside and the walls of the buildings outside.

He ended up at the construction site next door. Finding a wrecking ball, he snatched it up. It reminded him of the medicine balls he had trained with. Gouging out hand grips, he used the ball to wreck the site. As the Cartel cameras rolled, he was given a name: The Wrecking Ball.

Eventually Jamal came to his senses and fled. He was covered in sweat and exhausted. There was a search, but no one knew that the Wrecking Ball had been Jamal...except for the Cartel. A woman in black power armor approached him. He could make millions as a mercenary, he could hit people like when he had been a football player, and women would line up for him again. Knowing he had no future in football as he was or as a 10 foot tall fiend of muscular rage, Jamal agreed.

He had been in and out of prison since then, but when out he does get paid well. With a whiff of gas that activates the steroids, he turns from Jamal to the blinding steroid-fueled raging monster called Wrecking Ball that destroyed until one of a few things happen to calm him back down. He has wrecked more than a few places on behalf of the Cartel. Once a villain captured Jamal then used the gas to set him off as a distraction while the villain did his own deeds elsewhere.

Jamal Jones is fairly well known now in the underworld as a lackey, a person to use and release when they are done with him...much like his beloved football coaches.

Yes I have a few ideas of what would calm him down...but I will not discuss them here Sorry for the long story! It kind of took on a life of its own!
