Ok, this took me forever! I have never once worked on an image in photoshop for this long. That being said, please don't be too critical! I am a complete novice with photoshop. For my own skills, I'm pleased with how it came out. I hope you guys enjoy it :]If you're interested, this is the color job I did in pencil. [link]
I changed a lot of the colors. If you're interested, Phantom was originally in red and grey for the sole reason that I didn't have a black colored pencil and I thought he would look weird in all grey. And Christine's dress is no longer white because I thought the red popped more, and the white dress would have been very difficult to shade properly and I'm not good at shading.
Also, the lyrics in the background are from Past The Point of No Return.
POTO belongs to Andrew Lloyd Webber, and possibly some other people, none of which are me.

You're much too hard on yourself, i think you did a very good job, the color is pretty and I can see how you gave it some depth with the burn and dodge (They're my favorites for shading)

I like this, and you're right the red does make christine stand out more. But in my honest opinion, I prefer the original color job you did where christine's dress was white or off white, only in that it set the tone of the character's personalities more. Erik would then be the one who stands out in his possessive, dramatic, murderously over protective and theatrical flourish where as the white dress plays up Christine's innocence. But I totally can relate with the difficulty of working with white or trying to shade with white in photoshop. Good job!

I see where you're coming from, but there was noooo way I was going to be able to do a decent coloring job in photoshop with white. I did bad enough with the red! xD

I love "The Phantom of the Opera"! Especially the actor who plays him: Gerard Butler .... OMFG!! He's hot!
The drawing is well done, specially if it's one of the first you do!! Keep it up!

Thanks so much!! :]. I took a picture that I drew and outlined the entire thing in photoshop, got rid of the original scanned image and colored the new outline. Outlining took forever! D:

sounds like a lot of hard work, but it really paid off!! i'll just stick with my handy dandy colored pencils...i don't think i have the patience for that, haha!

So true! I do have some nice colored pencils at home.....up at school all I had was my roommate's roseart pencils which were not in a complete set, so it was difficult!

i can see that being hard...i have a few sets of pencils, but a lot of them are crayola ones and not that nice, but since it's pretty much all i have to work with, so...yeah.

Have you ever tried prismacolor pencils? I love them! They're pricey, though. I was in a play at my high school and we were going through the costume room and I found a big bag filled with prismacolor pencils! Apparently someone had left them during a previous show. So I kept them

its really cool! im like obsessed with p.o.t.o and i love everything related to that, good or bad, urs is great tho idk what that other person was talking about, besides its only if u like it, thats what matters, i've had people hate on my art too and ya it sucks but thats their problem, great job

Haha, I totally agree! It's like I am FULLY aware that I am not the greatest artist. But I also know that my stuff isn't awful. I just make art because it's fun, and hope that some people enjoy it. Comments like that are just unnecessary. If you don't like it, just don't say anything. It's not like I asked for critiques. And I know, I love POTO too!

lol thats the same exact thing with me, like it was a war kindof with the girl who was messin with me, she went way to far and made an art strip photo type thing (idk what there called ^_^) and it showed our comments/fight and started messin with my friends art, i mean that was just going way to far its really uncalled for and it just hurts people!! but ya, my best advice is listen to your own heart, not someone elses, and YAY! POTO!! hehe in the movie erik is soooooo hot (without the creepy skin and stuff)

I totally understand. It's not the fact that he posted a critique, it's that he posted a completely useless critique. Anyway if you look at his profile he's apparently been banned multiple times for trolling so his comment probably could have been a lot worse. *shrugs* I've never had any unkind comments before, so I guess something worse could have been said!
