The idea of the Doctor's pockets containing not only the world, but the entire universe has never stopped appealing to me.This image is part of The Yeti Book, which is a children's storybook I created featuring the Second Doctor, Jamie, and, hopefully obviously, a Yeti.
You can see the first ten or so intro pages of the book on my LJ here , and then download the whole thing (about 32 pages) from the bottom of that page as well. There's some info there about a hard copy of the book, as well as prints and the like.

Three years, ago, whoof... Can I enquire as to whether you still sell this and if you do, how long you think you might go on for? It's just so lovely, and despite my youngest siblings having just grown out of storybooks (not that you can ever really, but they think they're too "cool" now =/) I have notions of buying a copy and keeping it for children of my own or nieces/nephews. Or just for myself

I can still sell them, I just don't have any printed at the moment. It seems there's been a bit of interest again lately, so if you're really interested, keep a watch on my journal here, and you could see some news about them coming up again. They're not super cheap to print up, so I usually need to be sure I have a certain amount of interest before I get another batch ready.
I'm delighted that you'd like one, even after all this time, though!

fine, fine! I'll watch the second doctor! I wanted to watch the classics, but im not a big fan of black and white TV so i started with the third doctor. apparently, it was a mistake and i should have started with 2 anyways.

He is a fantastic Doctor! My very very favorite!
I think you'll find it much better than you think! When I started watching, my girlfriend at the time proclaimed that she hated black and white TV and would absolutely watch no part of it. She ended up laughing and enjoying it right along with me after a few minutes! It's not as stale as people think, especially with Patrick Troughton~ He is AMAZING. Even the terrible stories are watchable because of how great he is!

I can appreciate this all the more now that I'm almost done with the Troughton era. I like the title of your picture, 'The Universe Coat' how apt! Haha makes me think of the Dreamcoat...

I don't see why the Doctor's pockets couldn't contain a universe or two, what with all the Tardis-style technology and all.
With that said, I am now imagining a coat with a silk lining custom-dyed to match this painting, and how INCREDIBLY awesome that would be.

Hahah, I threatened Frazer with art back in September when he was telling me that he wasn't even sure he could come to Gallifrey One and you're not the first to demand this, so I think him ending up with a copy of this is inevitable, as mortified as I'm going to be to give it to him!

I love this picture; the Doc's coat is so awesome, and on that note I have to say how much I love how you play with the pockets on every page (loved the story, too, by the by C: ). It was so much fun going through and picking out the different things in his pockets. <3
