Well, I wanted to draw a picture that I could submit to Shonen Jump, and no one had drawn Kyuubi, so... I drew his ear left first, then added a head and another ear... And eventually he got to the point where he was looking a little too calm (kind of girly O_o), and before long I said, "To hell with it, I don't even know what his back feet look like".I used the screenshot where Jiraiya is removing Naruto's Five Elements Seal (if you aren't this far in the series, don't worry there is no spoiler in the pic) and borrowed the seal design. Coloring the lines differently was just... something interesting to do since I had no idea what to do for a background.
My sister suggested a different version, which can be found in Scraps.
BTW... Kyuubi's back feet look like his front (loooong toes).
Penciled and inked in the RW, color adjustments and seal addition in Photoshop.

What part? The seal(s) that holds the Kyuubi (Eight Divination Signs Seal and Four Image Seal [two seals serving one purpose])or the Five Elements Seal that Orochimaru put on him?

Wow, I really like this! the coloring of the seal really works wiht the rest of the picture (black,red, & white look good together). I do watch Naruto (ocasionally) and so I dont'... know who this is really, but none-the-less, it's good.

Kyuubi is the evil fox demon sealed inside Naruto's body (the ΓΌber-powerful, evil fox demon ^_^), he was trapped there by Yondaime Hokage (the Fourth Hokage). By drawing chakra from this guy, Naruto can pretty much overpower anybody (I guess you didn't get to see the first episode, that's where they explain all of this

Yeah, the lack of BG is perfectly fine, don't worry about it. Personally, wiht this piece,I woudl think a BG would distract one's attention from Kyuubi.

*tsk* Ah, sorry you missed it! Next time you're in a big "we-sell-everything" bookstore, drop by the manga section and see if you can get your hands on the first novel-- you don't have to buy it if you're like me and can't afford it ^_^ but give it a read, it's worth it!

Yeah, I i haven't seen the first of anything Naruto related, but I have a few Shojen jumps floating around my house, and I have seen a few of the episodes, so it's not liek I'm don't seeing NOTHING.... just very little

That's really good. Did it make the paper? The seal looks prettty darn cool.
Might want to rotate it a little so it does not cover the foxes head at all (imho). Cuz the head is perhaps the most essential part of the fox (and really well drawn) so why hide it at all

I'm glad you like his head, but I really like how the seal covers his face (sort of like he's looking through it) and since it's restraining him, I thought it would be poigniant like this. Thanks for the suggestion though
