Quite a while, but I'm still experimenting with the process. The actual conversion from colored page to vintage comic style only takes a few minutes.

I'd be curious to know just how you get the 'old color' look; for something like that I'll usually open up an actual bit of art from the period and steal the color directly from it.

I read about that too. I'm more than a little peeved about it. It is undoubtedly going to be made into a terrible movie with no charm or elegance whatsoever, and that's what Asteroids is: charm and elegance.

Agreed. I mean, you could be artsy with it. I can imagine one special effect scene being an homage to Asteroids with some kind of imagination put into it, but other that, how you can pull an entire movie out of Asteroids is beyond me.
