Speedart: www.youtube.com/watch?v=p1ZlwSβ¦This was personal challenge for exactly how much detail I could put in a drawing. It's a 10x10 inch drawing that took me about 30 hours to finish. I absolutely loved drawing that fin and the indents above the mouth. It's one of the few drawings that wasn't anything specific to me or anyone I knew, but just a reference I pulled from the internet. My next ultimate challenge will probably be my parakeet, but it'll have to wait until I have time to sit and draw for an insanely long time.

I still cant figure out how to make colored pencils work with my technique, but your really amazing at it! Even if you did regret it a little XD

Well there wasn't too much technique with this, at some parts I was literally just making dots of color which I've never done before in a drawing And there's nothing wrong with taking steps back if your technique isn't working the way you want it. I have to do this a lot with my digital art-- sometimes I push too far and I try to draw something that in my head is amazing but on the screen it looks like complete crap, so I'll start taking steps back like leaving the line-drawing in, shading less, using flat colors instead of trying to blend them. It's not the picture I want, but it's a picture that works, so I can start with that threshold and work my way up

Omg this required SO MUCH patience. After the 30th scale I was regretting ever starting the drawing, I thought I'd never be finished. I'm glad you like it though! Β

Incredible detail! And the colours are amazing as well! I love red and blue colour combinations, so this is the bomb!

He's so beautiful!! Makes me kinda wistful...we just lost our dear betta Titus this Saturday after a long battle with an infection. Maybe we can find a fellow as bright as this next time!
