"Winged horses exist worldwide. There are many different breeds, including the Abraxan, the Aethonan, the Granian, and the rare Thestral. As with the Hippogriff, the owner of a winged horse is required to perform a Disillusionment Charm upon it at regular intervals" (Fantastic Beasts & Where to Find Them, Newt Scamander)

Abraxan:
M.O.M Classification: XXXX (Dangerous/ requires specialist knowledge/ skilled wizard may handle)
The Abraxan is an immensely powerful and giant palominos breed of winged horse. They are about 10-15 feet tall (about the size of elephants) and have a wingspan of 30-35 ft. Their flight feathers (tipped black as opposed to their otherwise white wings) are the longest of any winged horse, allowing them to fly for long periods of time and carry heavy loads.

Aethonan:
M.O.M Classification: XX (Harmless/ may be domesticated)
The Aethonan is a chestnut light draft horse with speckled wings like a barn owl. Quite popular in Britain and Ireland, this winged horse is frequently used by wizard families who prefer a larger mode of transportation as opposed to brooms. Its broad back and gentle demeanor makes it suitable for small children.

Granian:
M.O.M Classification: XXX (Competent wizard should cope)
The Granian is a tall and muscular gray thoroughbred with peregrine falcon wings. For a long time it was thought to be a solid gray, but it is confirmed that this horse flies so fast its stripes and specks on its body and wings blur to a light grey color. Granians are "hot blooded" horses, known for their agility, speed, and spirit.

Thestral:
M.O.M Classification: XXXX
The rare Thestral has a dragon like face and neck, skeletal horse body, and huge bat wings. They possess the power of invisibility to those who have not seen or accepted death and thus are considered unlucky by many wizards. They are attracted to the scent of blood and are quite intelligent.
