Description
My first colour pencil drawingAnd also my first entry for Draw-Along
I used Derwent Colousoft pencils and a 2H pencil.
Sorry for the bad photo quality, but couldn't do better.

Love it! The colours are amazing, love the frogs and the fruit looks so real: I would like to eat it were it not for the bugs and frogs
There is room for improvement there, but only once I stop being so mesmerized by the fruit and look at the rest in detail:
- the frog on the banana... I am not 100% certain on the top arm, it seems to be coming out of the top of the frog's head... can they bend their shoulder joints that far? Or should you have drawn the head at an angle?
- The second frog's legs over the bowl and the grapes need to cast shadow on the bowl and they do not...
- the bowl itself... the top rim of it is not straight: its a bit wavy. The bottom of the bowl does not quite work, it s a bit flat, the bit with the initials on it... not sure why, I think it is because the corners need to be more rounded, if that makes sense?

Thanks, will improve the bowl so it will be more rounded. But do you have any tips on how to draw the shadows from the grapes and frog on the bowl?
And the arm was the same as in the reference I used.

Well, the shadows will fall in the opposite direction of the highlights, so think where the shadow will fall in relation to the light source indicated by the reflections on the grapes and then apply a bit of shadow there... if you are worried about it: photocopy the picture and try first on the copy to figure out best tone to use etc. Are there no shadows on the reference?
