This is my first oil painting. Christmas present for my roommate and best friend. She loves Art Deco so I created one for her.The text=
"Une pour moi. Deux pour moi." 'One for me. Two for me'
"Le madam du Vin." 'The Madame (spelling of madam insinuates that she is the lady of a brothel, aka a woman's bar catering to gentlemen) of Wine'
This is the kind of woman who carries two drinks. Every man wondering who the other drink is for.

that was for my roommate and she LOVES art deco. I wanted to do something that could go with the rest of her at she has around our house. Its the attitude and the sassyness you find in lots of women in those kinds of art I was trying to capture ^_^

Ah, now it all makes sense. She has an eye for the chic and classy. Definitely has some good tastes, and I'm sure she appreciated it
